It was OK. Beef brisket rogan josh was a bit bland. The other dishes we had were OK.

Delicious and interesting food in a bit of a random location. If these guys were closer to the city they would be booked out every night. The laksa was especially delicious. Bit expensive, but i think worth it and fair in these times. Friendly and professional service and nice vibe for a casual date night, in the cute and clean dining area.

We have been regulars for several years now and are always delighted with the food and service. Our favourite entrée are the Crab Buns, and for the mains Heaven duck, fresh sea perch, red curry (duck) and recently the Malaysia curry laksa. If we have one gripe it is the size/price of the rice serves. But we love it and will keep going back! Highly recommended for great casual dining.

This is our 8th time at Benjamin’s and it truly have never disappointed with its consistent deliciousness! As we were finishing up with some tea I heard a young boy, perhaps ten years old, dining with his parents on the other side of the restaurant exclaim ‘I’ve never tasted anything better in my life’. I couldn’t have put it better myselfLatestBack to Benjamin’s for my brother in laws belated birthday dinner post being freed from the latest lockdown. Being our fifth visit we know and love the menu but tonight the Mongolian beef was outstandingly good. I think it’s actually my new favourite rendition of this traditional Chinese dish due to its super flavoursome sauce. Thoroughly recommendRecentWe dined at Benjamin’s for my sisters birthday recently and it remains as delicious as ever. We found the menu entirely unchanged and ended up up ordering much of the same from our previous visit and the consistency shone though. Impossible to have a bad meal here!Further updateWe hastily brought my brother in laws birthday dinner booking forward three weeks when the government announced new lockdown restrictions and had one last supper. We revisited all of our favourite dishes and one new one the birthday boy wanted to order, beef rendang. This was a well executed rendition but it is of course traditionally a dry curry and BK excel in their flavour packed sauces so they will always be my preference. Check them out in lockdown for their daily takeaway packsUpdateWe headed to BK for my mums birthday last night having tried it almost a year ago and remembering it fondly. We kicked off with the chicken satay skewers and prawn dim sum. A great way to start the meal and special mention to the phenomenal satay sauce. We knew at that moment roti would be a must order for more of that yummy sauce!Props to the interior designer as they’ve absolutely nailed a tranquil ambiance and the function room with its soft shades would be perfect for a baby shower event. The main space has a real Hampton’s feel to it with the pretty lighting resembling a fluffy cloud against a soft painted sky. But back to the food. The coconut black tiger prawns were a real showstopper. Served in a coconut these giant prawns were absolutely delicious and the flavours lingered on the palette long after after they’d been gobbled up. We’ll definitely be backOriginal reviewI was invited to try Benjamin’s Kitchen and what a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The dishes were mostly Thai and Chinese influenced and involved all the classics. Everything sounded so good we found the mains hard to chose as there’s quite a lot of variety. We went for the teriyaki chicken, chicken pad thai and chilli honey black pepper beef. The meat in all the dishes was high quality and not the stringy kind you often find in Chinese restaurants. In fact nothing about this place resembled a typical Chinese restaurant. The interiors were just gorgeous. A bright, crisp and clean space downstairs and more of the same beauty upstairs with function rooms available. Light wood floors set off the bright white walls and pastel painted feature walls by artist Chloe Planinsek. The five spice calamari was coated in the lightest of crispy batters and absolutely sensational. The seafood fresh as can be. Good quality food at reasonable prices with a large variety of veggie and gf options what more could you ask for? How about dessert! The dessert offering is small but it’s enough to satisfy the sweet palette and they are actually looking to expand their dessert range going forward. We had a couple of slices supplied by the very tasty Butter Mafia. The passion fruit one was exceptionally delicious. The coconut panacotta was also fantastic. Texturally perfect and plenty of flavour. Literally a faultless meal

We recently had a birthday celebration at Benjamin's Kitchen and it was excellent. The service was brilliant and the team were very accommodating. The food, as usual, was the highlight with all our guests leaving full and happy! Safe to say, we will be back many many times.

This place is beautiful on the inside, we sat on the second story and it just felt calm and peaceful. It’s definitely quite expensive but the food was good but not amazing for what I was hoping. The entrees were definitely the best out of everything. The mains really lacked flavour but we’re still enjoyable enough. My biggest regret was ordering the panna cotta, one bite and I had to stop and I LOVE dessert. The jam which must be homemade which you would think would have been good but it was full of all these spices so it was chunky and we literally pulled a full clove out of our mouths. It needed to be sieved but when we questioned the waitress she said she should have warned us like it was intentional for it to be like that. We didn’t get a receipt shown to us at the end but we don’t think it got removed on the bill which ideally would have been the professional thing to do but not a huge deal they did offer us the mousse instead but we were full at this point anyway. The finish on a positive, the staff were super friendly and that’s always a plus!

Benjamin’s Kitchen is a two-storey light filled Pan-Asian restaurant tucked away in Alphington.Visiting for lunch we ordered the crab buns, San Choi bao, green chicken curry, seasonal vegetables and rice. For drinks we opted for a Pinot gris and lychee lime soda.Despite visiting on a busy day, staff were friendly and accommodating and our food came out quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious. I loved the crab buns, the soft shell crab was nice and juicy and worked beautifully with the mayo, cucumber, lettuce and coriander. The green chicken curry was another great dish, it was full of flavour and was comforting and perfect for a cold day.Overall I was really impressed with Benjamin’s Kitchen. I loved the clean aesthetic, the staff were attentive, prices were reasonable and most importantly the food was delicious. I would happily return and recommend checking them out if in the area. I rate Benjamin’s Kitchen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5.

I'm in awe of the service each time we visit Benjamin's Kitchen. Staff are very attentive and accommodating. And the food is even better! So obsessed with the soft shell crab buns and salted egg chicken. Heaps of wine options to pair with your meals too! Only feedback would be to expand the dessert menu. Many thanks to Pai for always looking after us.
