Showed them a reference photo of the haircut I wanted, and the barber proceeds to give the absolute worst haircut, without it even matching up remotely to what was specified, and to go to my grandmothers funeral. I honestly feel ashamed this is how I have to walk in, and now I have to wait another 3 months for it to grow back.The barber did empathise however, and decided not to charge me, but the fact I have to walk in like this to a figure I admired dearly is ridiculous. Only come here if you need a general, common haircut.

Rubbish barber. Most over priced place for a pitiful service.$50 for a skin fade is putrid.Youse ain’t giving out happy endings, you’re cutting hair.This store is a joke.Do not go there.

If you want your haircut to make you look like a 40 year old virgin, barber boys ingle farm is the place for you. I asked the guy with longish hair to shave the back and sides to a 1 and cut it short at the top and only did half the job. He left the too long, when I asked him again to cut it short he butchered the whole lot. Not the first bad experience I’ve had but thought I’d give them another try and boy was that a mistake. Save your money and go somewhere else

I went in for a cut, showed the barber a pic of how i wanted it. then he goes on to give me the worst cut ive ever had. he didnt even do it close to how i asked. i then ask whats going on and he didnt see the problem with it even know it looked the opposite to what i wanted. i beg you dont go there and waste your time and money, even worse get a hair cut

Ruined my hair, asked for an inch off the back or my hair and chopped about 3 off. They hid the apprentice barber sign behind various hair products and didn't do simple hygiene. Used a strait razor without changing the blade from previous client. Very disappointing

Walked in late in the day with my autistic son. He got the hair cut he asked for and it was done quickly and he was ready for new school year. Thanks guys.

Waited over 30minutes when it was my turn the experienced barber decided to take a break and hand me over to the apprentice. He told her don’t take anymore people if they come in we don’t have time. It was only just after 4pm she turned two customers down when they arrived that they were very unhappy. I had a bad clean up not even on any side I had to pay another barber to fix the mess. I will never go there again and would not recommend the customer experience to anyone.

Fabio at Barber Boys is probably one of the best hair dressers in SA. Have been getting my haircut from him for the past ~ 5 years and he has been very reliable, consistent - has a good chat and does great haircut!!

I asked him to trim my hair at the back but he just shaved it all off, I asked for the sides to be shaved, he got that right but shaved so far up that he got rid of all length I had on top

After another barber shop chain couldn't cut my son's hair along his forehead straight. We went to Barber Boys (Newton) to see if they could make it look decent. Kim was very helpful, and did his best to make the crooked cut look ok. Did an awesome job on the rest of his hair. An even better cut then he'd ever received at the previous barber. Went back to BB today and again received great service and an awesome cut from another barber. Still working with the crooked cut - hasn't grown out as of yet after 4-5 weeks. That's how bad it was.Will certainly continue to take my son to BB.He's found his new barber shop.
