We came down to this region for our honeymoon and were recommended to try Poonawatta Wines by the place we were staying. The experience was amazing! The family were all welcoming and wonderful, the grounds are absolutely stunning and the wine is unparalleled. We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best tasting and experience we have ever done. Must visit for anyone in the Barossa/Eden Valley. All the wines were fantastic and the cellar door is beautifully done. Can't reccommend more highly and looking forward to visiting again. Thanks Andrew and Michelle it was a pleasure visiting and tasting your wines.

We called into Poonawatta Wines located in Eden Valley and what a gem of a winery it isBeing family owned and operated they are fastidious and passionate about their range of winesTheir top range 1880 Shiraz is made from vines that are that circaThey also have a great great of other whites and redsWe met and spent time with Andrew and Michelle as they explained their wines and the building of the cellar doorThe views from both sides of the cellar door match the wine “first class”When visiting Eden Valley this has to be on your “must winery go to” list

We visited this family owned winery on a whim and are very grateful we did! The owner gave us a very personal experience and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our wine tasting. He was very kind and gave us tips for the rest of our trip. The cellar door had a very pleasing aesthetic. We left with a bottle of Riesling and Shiraz!

We were fortunate enough to visit this stunningly beautiful vineyard when on a recent trip to South Australia. This family owned operation has an inviting and culturally sensitive presentation that welcomes and intrigues the visitor. The warm and friendly welcome inside the cellar door is only matched by a superb selection of wines that are not overstated and remain true to the ethos of the wine grower. Simple, beautiful, elegant and exceptional. Thank you so much for making our trip to the Eden memorable!

Our wine tasting at Poonawatta was very interpersonal, relaxing and we were able to learn a lot about the history of Poonawatta. Great customer service and delicious wine. We will definitely be back when the cellar door is complete. Thank you for an amazing experience.
