A nice spot to spend some time on the river. Access is by dirt track which would best travelled in off road vehicles but I have seen cars parked along the river here (glad it's not my car). A good mixture of open areas and shady trees. A popular swimming location when there is water flowing with some deep holes of water. There are no toilets here only a few rubbish bins.Both sides of the river here have been worked for alluvial gold during the gold rush days. Many piles of stone show where old time prospectors worked the ground for gold. In fact the entire point was worked quite heavily when you have a good look around.
