Half Price Shutters

I feel so disappointed with this company. 2 business days out from my appointment they cancelled, after I had made plans to travel 6hrs to meet them at my holiday unit for a measure and quote. I had made this appointment 3weeks previously so why did they leave it to the last minute to cancel?

A big shout out to the customer service lady for her great communication throughout the process. It took approximately one month to complete the whole job to install 4 shutters including sales rep, check measure, payment and installation. Happy with that. Sales Rep was quick, informative and my quote was received within 24hours via email. Heaps cheaper than other quotes received. The Sales Rep told me it would take approximately 4 weeks before installation. I accepted the quote and confirmation required 50% payment, all done via phone. Check measure done 2 days later. Third week, installation date received for the following week together with final payment, again via phone. Installation cancelled due to wet weather and rescheduled 5 days later. Shutters installed as promised on time and in good time. Thanks to the installers who went hard out before the rain came, great work, excellent job.

The blinds arrived in good condition, and were easy to install and looked better than the display photo's. I had a great experience with the team, especially with Ian, who was very patient and obliging. I will definitely use and recommend this supplier again. Regards, Peter

The pricing and affordability could be improved. However, the compassion and empathy from Denise was from a sincere and professional place. She understand my needs and the importance of advocating for people who are vulnerable and are not in a good financial position. THANK YOU DENISE.R you are an asset to the company.

Thank you for your prompt and efficient service from the day of my enquiry to the final installation of the plantation shutters. A very reliable and professional company that I recommend to anyone.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Please avoid!!! 3 weeks in , no work done and still waiting on a refund. First they sent out an unqualified contractor ( they also tried to cancel the appointment the day before despite us taking time off) to quote the job, they then call you on the same day to take the 50% deposit without letting you read the quote conditions (when i said we’d call back after reading it they treated us with an obnoxious attitude) In the second visit, the contractor tells you the shutters you want are unsuitable and try to upsell you by $1000 …they AGAIN call you on the same day to take payment. When you ask for a refund instead they dodge your calls and emails. it’s been 3 weeks without a single email, this is far far beyond any reasonable timeframe for a refund WHEN LITERALLY NO WORK WAS DONE. Denise where is my refund?? also been 3 days since you were supposed to call us back. Do not waste your time, energy or money , they are simply money hungry unprofessionalsedit: 4 weeks still waiting on a refund, and their manager is supposedly off each time i’ve called them. this is exactly why they have 2.7 stars

I have been very happy with Half-Price Shutters. They installed two manual shutters for me 12 years ago, then upgraded them to electric shutters 7 years ago and have just installed another shutter for me. All staff were great. I didn't realise that the electrician might not come on the day of installation of the shutters, but the team pushed and it all got completed on the one day - which I ended up being very happy with. The shutter has limited the morning light coming in and the winter cold is no longer being felt coming off the windows. I am pleased and would recommend and use them again.

These plantations look amazing, the price was the most competitive out of all the quotes we got and the install was professional & quality is there.I was a bit weary after reading reviews here to be honest, so wanted to report back, that my experience was positive. There is a wait of quite a few weeks after the initial visit but for the price paid, it was worth it and the wait was within what was explained.I did call to check and was relieved to be advised of the date prior to the install.The shutters are good quality and designed to fit different areas with 3 different opening configurations.Id say def worth it for an old home as plantations make it look modern.

Update - so the installation date mentioned below of the 8th June has come and gone. Have the replacement shutters been installed….nope! Hahaha, what a joke of a company. If you have time and like being messed around, choose Half price shutters.I wish I had a 0 star option! We ordered the shutters and it took 3 months for them to be installed. It turns out they ordered and installed the wrong product and we called to get this checked. They sent out a rep to investigate and he acknowledged the wrong product had been installed. Then silence for the next 3 months....nothing...no communication. So then we start to call and we get the old its on its way" fob off each time. No one can tell us when they will be replaced. Trust me avoid this company and buy anywhere else. Literally anywhere else. In fact we found a great company who manufacture in Sydney and install within 2 weeks. We will be recommending and using them instead."

From the sales rep through to the installer and customer service representative everything ran smoothly and my shutters arrived earlier than the expected date. Everything went well, no issues at all.
