Hidden gem of Westmead! An absolute treasure of a place. It's a homestead from the early 1900s that's been fitted out as a quaint little cafe and restaurant with multiple rooms, sheltered outdoor seating with heating, and peaceful setting. This kind of charm and atmosphere is rare in the city, more like a peaceful country house, and yet directly opposite Westmead hospital.Oh and the food...wow! The flavours, quality and presentation here put many other higher priced places to shame. The place doubles as a Thai restaurant in the evenings, and the Thai beef curry dish I had here is one of the nicest Thai curries I've ever had, with beautifully tender beef.Service is absolutely amazing, with very friendly staff.I stayed at the 175 hotel next door for a couple of nights, had dinner once and breakfast twice at Keramic. They work with the hotel to do in-room dining as well.Very highly recommended, and I will definitely visit again!

This place is a hidden treasure. Ensconced in a 100 year old traditional Aussie Homestead, it is hard to notice at first in the jumble of tramway engineering adjacent to Westmead Hospital.The ambience is inviting with tasteful antiques, photos, art and furniture, the staff are warm, charming and helpful and the Menu has everything you could want... surf, turf, chicken, pasta, fishnchips, and many more delicacies for both entree and mains.But what is truly amazing is the price.. with most dishes around the $20 mark for large platters of perfectly cooked food of all kinds. There is an amazing burger for aficionados, best chips you will taste, best fresh salads, awesome steaks, lamb and chicken dishes, great al dente pasta, squid, etc...To top it off... fantastic coffee and iced coffee (in a huge glass jar), non-alcoholic affogato, massive choice of teas and beverages.BYO as well so you can enjoy the very best lunch or dinner with your favourite wines and beers at basic cost.Your choice of garden dining, indoor tables in intimate rooms or takeaway.Been there three times now and every item on the menu excellent. And we are very critical diners.Can't recommend this place enough.

The drinks were really nice but the food took a little long to come out, considering we only ordered one eggs benedict. Will be back to try their dinner menu next time.

So sad, I was always a huge fan of of when it was just the Kongfu cafe gem and this new establishment just isn't hitting the mark. Ordered the big breakfast, which I ate with a toddler. Food had a fishy aftertaste, almost like the oil that was used was old and maybe used to fry fish. I didn't bother to comment as the server was very nice and I also didn't want to waste the food (knowing that cafes can have off days), but finishing the meal I found that the sausage that was included was raw.Although I was refunded for JUST the sausage, it felt like I was rushed out with a 5$ note and knowing that a raw piece of meat and its raw juices sat with the other food myself and my child ate, I thought would have prompted a refund of the meal. I also had to look around for someone to bring my concern to as there were no servers checking on customers that had received their meals. I didn't cause a scene as I am a local and chose to handle the food issue discreetly because I used to love going to the previous spot, but am pretty sad about how this situation was handled.It's a fine place to sit and have coffee, but unfortunately wouldn't recommend the food to dine in.

Dinner as part of room service through hotel 175 next door. The chicken parmi was tender and nicely done. The thai cashew chicken dish was flavorful. 10/10 would recommend!

A truly hidden jam! Awesome ambience, and more beautiful than that, fantastic team members. My wife was in the hospital at Westmead with my son, and I came from work to go to the hospital. I wasn’t sure food arrangements at the hospital. The cafe doesn’t make sandwiches for dinner, but only to have learnt about my situation they made an exception and made me sandwiches for dinner. What a lovely gesture! Please support this great local business.
