Both my kids went to Kicks. I absolutely recommend this place which is run by David, his lovely wife Kiri and Team.They take extra care of each child and treat them like their own!Self defense techniques & martial arts are taught in an interesting manner for the children. Children are motivated to go to the next belt.

Our son has been attending Kicks after school care for several years now and has really enjoyed both making new friends and learning karate. David, Kiri and the Kicks team provide a fun and safe environment, so highly recommended!

This is an excellent place for either before and after school care or martial arts training - or both! My son does the martial arts training and absolutely loves it. He has made lots of friends and learnt some really important values for his life going forward. I would highly recommend Kicks for any child from the age of 3 upwards. The opportunities are endless, it’s a supportive environment, and a family-owned local business.

KICKS Newington offers a well-structured martial arts and after school program in a fun, disciplined and supportive environment. Both my daughter and son have enjoyed the program and social interactions and have gained some valuable self-defence and life skills. One of the best decisions was to send our daughter to Kicks Martial arts at Newington. The peace of mind we have knowing that she can defend herself whilst she is now starting to go out unsupervised is amazing. David and the team are not only great instructors, mentors but caring and totally invested in all their students wellbeing from the onset. We highly recommend Kicks, the program and the staff. Thank you David and team for all you do for our most precious kids!

JSK 5.0 has been an amazing companion in our lives. Our daughter has attended from Kindergarten right through to Year 6. Having excellent after school care coupled with meaningful martial arts has been one of the best supports that our area has for young families. David and Kiri really approach every child uniquely to help them be the best version of themselves while fostering a real spirit of local community. I can’t praise them highly enough for the hard work that’s been put into our kids so they can enjoy a confident future no matter the challenges.

We have seen wonderful growth and development in our son through being a part of the community at Kicks. The martial arts have built confidence and understanding of his growing teenage body. Being a part of the teen leadership program is helping him to develop skills in an encouraging environment including organisation, planning and communication as he gets involved and takes up responsibility. My daughter has been attending for 6 months and loves it. It is a family, fun environment and the kids are encouraged and supported at every grade. David, Kirk and the Team are friendly, welcoming and fantastic with the kids. The timetable allows our family flexibility to get to classes, attending 2-4 a week. Its peace of mind to know that my child is able to defend herself if ever in that situation. The teachings and learnings has grown my childs confidence and shes excited to learn.Highly Recommend.These guys are Awesome
