Alison Hansen Doula

I had the very good fortune to be helped by Alison during lockdown when my baby turned breech at 37 weeks. I was feeling alone and scared but knew that if I got the right help that I might be able to naturally turn the baby without the need of medical intervention. Alison was so kind, generous and nurturing. She gave me confidence and my partner direction on the Spinning Babies practices that turned the baby and ultimately allowed me to have a wonderful natural and spontaneous birth.Thank you Alison I will always remember your kindness.

Choosing to have Alison by our side was one of the best decisions we made for our birth journey! Alison is an incredibly warm, loving, caring woman & I cannot recommend her beautiful services highly enough. She was there every step of the way to support my husband & I, to empower us, encourage us & help us navigate the path which ultimately lead to our dream birth as first time parents. After baby was born, Alison nurtured me with weeks worth of amazing healing meals & completely showered us in love & care. Wow, what an amazing experience it has been. I truly wish every mother could have Alison by their side! ❤️

Alison was an incredible resource and presence for us during our first pregnancy. Due to Covid, we couldn't have her physically with us in the hospital for our delivery, but she still was able to communicate all day with my husband, answering questions and being there" even though she couldn't be! And postpartum -- I could go on all day about how incredible and amazing it was to have Alison with us postpartum

It was so lovely to have Alison as part of my birth team. As a first time, mum, It was invaluable to have someone who knows the birth space so well, and could offer advice and tips throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. Alison helped me to create a calm and peaceful birth experience, one that I can look back on positively. I loved the postpartum visits where she helped us keep the house tidy, pampered me, and even brought a little surprise for baby.

Alison is so lovely and helped so much postpartum. From the very start Alison was the extra hand we needed especially after having our first baby we were still figuring everything out. Definitely would recommend having Alison as your doula especially if you're first time parents as she is very informative and gave us resources we needed to especially with breastfeeding. Thank you Alison for all the yummy food and being the extra hand our family needed.

I couldn't have asked for better support than what we received from Alison before, during and after birth.I had some complications during birth and both myself and my husband were much more confident with Alison by our side. She was so calm, caring and supportive.The meetings we had during pregnancy helped us to understand different procedures and what we could do in different situations.After birth, the days she came to our house were the most enjoyable and she always brought amazing food, so we had one less thing to organize in the busy post partum period.I would recommend Alison to anyone expecting a baby as she made our journey of first time parents much calmer and enjoyable. I learnt of Alison and her postnatal services through a referral. She was professional from the start and explained her services/ options available when I was unsure which option would be best suited for my needs. Alison ensured I had a beautiful experience on the day of providing her services, and made me feel very loved/ sacred in my own safe space of home. Alison was recommended to me by another doula and I’m so grateful she did. Alison is the most caring and loving person that I have worked with on my pregnancy journey. She was there for me when I really needed her emotionally and supported me with any decision I made.Unfortunately due to Covid I was unable to have Alison in my room when delivering my son but Alison was so amazing she came and helped me with postpartum care and wow what an amazing serviceNot only did she make me weeks worth of food but it was targeted to my healing and breastfeeding journey. The food was so yummy and good for me I feel I healed a lot quicker than what I normally would have. Alison not only made beautiful food but spent time with me, helped me and was just present which meant a lot.I am so grateful that Alison was out in my path, she is an amazing person and can’t wait to have her by my side at the next pregnancy

I knew from the moment I was pregnant that I wanted a doula and then when we found it was twins it was even more urgent. I met with Alison and we just clicked, I loved everything she stood for and I knew it would work for us! The care that we received in the lead up to the birth and after was amazing and the food, well it was best!! I would highly recommend Alison and I tell everyone a doula is a must! Our society places too much on the bounce back but what every mum is care and grace to settle into the big life change. If we have any more babies I know I want Alison with us again on the journey.
