Smashing Sorrento
It was the weekend of the lifted radius restriction and we decided to make the most of it. Sorrento is always a popular choice for peninsula locals and the like, I randomly selected SS and I'm glad I did. Service was excellent from start to finish, bubbly staff, excellent food and a smooth oat latte.

New owners and its such a fresh feeling. Staff are very happy, dog and kid friendly too. Currently just breakfast and brunch but food we did have was yummy.

Smashing Sorrento
I had breakfast here and overall it was pretty good. The atmosphere is rustic inspired, but misses the mark on authenticity. There were a decent amount of breakfast options. I went with a big breakfast and found the portion size to be satisfactory. I would come back again.The prices are to be expected for the area, but at the upper end of what I'd expect. The big breakfast was $24.

The staff couldn’t be lovelier. I’ve always had great food, coffee and service here. Today was the perfect example of this. I’d ordered an oat chai latte. I’d left the store and crossed the street without drinking it and the barista flagged me down. He profusely apologised that he’d made it with full cream milk accidentally and if he could make me a new one with oat milk. It was such a nice gesture that he cared about allergies, when he could’ve just fobbed it off and not thought twice. I’ll continue to recommend Smashing Sorrento to all Sorrento visitors!

Came in just before closing time on a 37 degree day. Staff were super accomodating and set us up at an outdoor table. Food came out quickly- our sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was excellent. Staff were very friendly, welcoming & attentive. Will come back here again for sure!

I had a casual lunch here while visiting Sorrento.I ordered a bacon, egg and relish turkish from the cabinet and a coffee. I decided to eat it at one of the tables outside. Be sure to wear sunblock and a hat if you are eating there as most of the tables will be blasted by the sun on a hot day.Service was just okay, with a very short interaction of staff taking my order and delivering my food. No real pleasant exchange, but not a negative exchange too.Overall, Smashing is pretty basic. They make food and coffee well but don't come if you are expecting a wow" factor."
