Riba's Underground Camping & Caravan Park

This is a good place to stop.Just out of town, so very quiet.Good amenities, laundry,TV room, camp kitchen.If you stay ,do the on-site mine tour, Jason is a very entertaining guide. We stayed three nights.

Good value. I stayed in a budget underground room, which as you’d expect for $70 was very basic, but it was clean. No power point though, which is a pain if you want to charge your phone.The amenities block is very old, but again it was also clean.Good camp kitchen and the owners seemed very nice.

I slept here in the underground campsite. Don't be afraid of the dust because there is a lot but this is the place (desert obviously). Nice people, nice price and good amenities

Very quirky and certainly a novelty experience to camp underground with the kids. Main drawback is not the facility...it is the risk of a snorer...which there was on our second night...it was like a bear roaring through the caverns underground. If people know they snore badly...please don't put others through it!! It ought to be a legitimate question before you can check in!!! Overall a fun experience to pitch up underground!

Nice caravan park not far from town. Really quiet and awesome hosts. We just left after staying two nightsPeople will complain about water pressure in showers etc. But honestly, you’re in the outback. It doesn’t rain here much and there’s no massive storage dams like the cities are accustomed toThe highlight of this place was the tag along tour. Jason told a great story about opal mining and his experience. He shows you the mine on site at the caravan park and also his own family dugout home. Jason takes you through the noodling fields as well as a place where a demonstration of how cutting and polishing is shownOn our tour he had his young daughter with him and she was an absolute delight and provided some great directions, and a little bit of humour as wellDefinitely a place I would highly recommend

We didn't stay in the van park, but I certainly would if we had the time.We stayed at the Comfort Inn because it was our wedding anniversary.We did the tour, which was fantastic. The host had a very dry sense of humour and we loved his his educational stories.He was gracious enough to let us see his underground home. We had a blast!

Great place, spotless facilities. Beautiful sunsets. We did the mine night tour at Riba’s & it was amazingly insightful. Our host/owner was so knowledgeable and we left with an educated appreciation of opal mining . We had a lot of laughs too. Absolutely loved it & highly recommend.

So peaceful! Only 5ks out of town and thats a great thing!! It’s so calm and quiet here; beautifully maintained we have been so grateful to have stayed here and it would be our first choice on our return visit. Hot showers included in booking fees, paid laundry, free outdoor kitchen facilities shade cloth covered sites! Everyone has been so friendly and our kids have loved it here! We will be back!

The customer service was absolutely horrible. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like an inconvenience. They has no water connections available however we were not made aware of this until after we made and had set up! This was also not stipulated on their website or when I called to book.Would not recommend and no not because there is no water connection but simply due to how horrible we were greeted and treated.
