Elsternwick Mama Falafel &Grill a gem ! The Falafel were the best I've had multiple countries included in comparison! Oh wow ! The chickpeas and what ever else is in these Falafel just melt in the mouth ! Fried to perfection! The crispiness well retained even after an hour.. loved the Middle Eastern Beef lamb Mix Wrap! We it's tabouli , Tzatziki , Israeli salad ! Loved it ,. The Meat was so flavorful and healthy as this is cooked over hot stone ... Kudos to Mama Falafel and Grill for a great meal ! Will.be coming back for sure !

I love the food at this restaurant! The special buttery mixed with herbs and a lovely steak is a must-have! The crispy potatoes as a side are great, too!The staff is friendly and helpful and the food exquisite is a great spot in the Melbourne CBD.

Did a couple of hours shopping in Elsternwick and before I knew it lunchtime was upon us. I figured we may as well eat at Mama Felalfal rather than make a mess at home with takeaway so we ordered two pita pockets, a side of chips and a tropical juice.Chips were nothing special but the pita was very filling and the juice super refreshing. I got chicken in mine but would probably try beef/lamb next time. Hubs enjoyed his felafel

Middle Eastern food with decent veggie options coupled with terrible service.Mama Falafel delivers the typical plates, wraps, and salada with fresh pita bread and well-cooked meats/falafel. Unfortuantly, the amount of meat given is restrictive, though this may be outweighed by the salad bar.Ordering a plate means you can add a range of dips, salads, and sides to your meat from their open bar. The bad news is you'll be verbally abused for taking a bit more than average or if you try to share a meal (really?). Staff are quite rude to customers and to eachother, yelling and being dismissive. The salad bar is also open to flies, dirt, sneezing, etc to contaminate, which is worrisome.The falafel they serve here is some of the best around. It's homemade, tasty, and crunchy. The fresh dips and amazingly crisp fries are fantastic on the side. Snacking on these cheap deals in their quiet courtyard out back puts you away from the poor service out front.Overall, Mama Falafel is good for a quick, inexpensive meal. Just make sure to smile because the staff will not do it for you.

Open late which is a huge bonus! Definitely worth a try! Friendly and cozy atmosphere. The service is fast and you get a small selection of choices with your meal. The overall experience was great. Will definitely frequent more often
