I wanted to see this place a saw a comment saying they have closed the inlet and now is not clear any more please update if this stops and it becomes clear again. Would love to drive down there and Snorkel

Most amazingly clear water and visibility when wind direction is favourable the small fish can be seen swimming around the rock edges. A rope swing is there and the ocean visible in the background. Well worth a dip

Recently upgraded by council. Only downfall no toilets.Beautifully clean water and great for all ages to swim, canoe or fish.

great little spot, when the tide is coming in, the river water is flushed back, leaving clean, beautiful water. great spot to go when it's windy.

Prawn Rock Channel
This is definitely a snorkelers dream. Sadly most of the action starts late which makes visibility not favourable. But even walking along the edge, there is soooo much life in this channel. Loads of smooth string rays, some of them coming in are huge! Heaps of different fish species, southern eagle rays, long neck turtles and a small shark that I was unable to identify. This is truly somewhere you’d just sit in the water and watch. Water is mostly so clear!

Unfortunately no longer the great clear swimming hole. Jan 2023 and the inlet is closed over there is little water and what there is is fairly stagnant and not overly attractive to swim in
