For something that is putting food on a platter, no cooking required it took a much longer time to come to the table than was necessary. Literally every other table was served before we received our ploughman's, even those that were seated well after us. Was offered a free coffee or tea which actually didn't eventuate.

Dined here; a traditional British pub with a nice historical tavern décor and a beer garden perfect for a warm sunny day. Had the following from the menu:- Chicken Parma; portion size was great for value; crumb coating was standard but the meat was thick and tender, and the tomato sauce with bits of sweet onion and herb seasoning, topped with a good amount of cheese was very tasty. The side of coleslaw was very good with the rocket leaves mixed in, giving it a fresh taste. Chips were alright- Beef and Guinness pie; baked in a ramekin with a flaky puff pastry top; beef chunks were tender though some pieces needed a bit more flavour to penetrate. Mash potato was creamy and slightly buttery- Garlic bread; made using a white cob bread, freshly baked with a crusty exterior. The centre was soft with a rich garlicky and buttery flavour; very tastyOverall a delicious and hearty meal; warm atmosphere with friendly and accommodating service from the staffs.

The weather in Melbourne over the last few months had been abysmal but we were blessed with a sensational day for sitting outside, under the shade of, I think, a grafted elm tree with a very thick canopy. The service was so friendly and my girlfriends and I were very well catered for. I had the original ploughman's platter and it was huge and absolutely magnificent with a large variety of delicious food. I could see the beautiful lawned grounds with beautiful flowers and children having a run around on the lawn in safety where parents could keep watch over them. All in all it was a wonderful afternoon to celebrate an early Christmas get together with my besties.

Don't sit by a window. They don't seal and it's too cold. But there was nowhere else to go. My fault for not booking? I wouldn't have known about the seating arrangement anyway.Pureed cauliflower was wasted in a red wine jus. Should use mashed potatoes. Beef cheek was delicious.

Haven't been here for few years and it's a beautiful spot. Everyone enjoyed their meals. One staff member was very rude to the point of being nasty, as couple of people late for the booking and pushing to order as the table is rebooked for 2 hours later. So if you like to linger for coffee after your meal this probably isn't the place for you. One waitress was amazing and helped heaps, the other definitely not.

Went to see a gig here with family. Had never heard of the artist. Wasn't my cup of tea. They offered pizzas and they took forever and weren't too great. I've heard the main restaurant is great and hope to visit it at some point.
