Mt Remarkable Summit Trail

Awesome view’s, a gem in South Australia for mountain biking!! A must visit!!

A most satisfying walk! Great to have the Heysen Trail to walk on when the other half is on the bike trails. Something for both of us. Useful platforms up top on which to lounge and make tea. Views are on the way, not on arrival. Walked it several times from the showground and deservingly back via the pub.

Nice track totalling about 12km, or 13 by the loop. View from the summit is non-existent, but a stunning view all the way up the North track. Not for the unfit, but achievable for the average person.

14km combined north and south trail which encircles the mountain. 6.5km north trail and 7.5km south trail. Lots of rock falls/rock slides. Wear hiking boots that lock in your ankle, this is a real ankle twister and is going to be hard on your feet. The north trail is on a steeper section with more unobstructed views. The south trail spends more time twisting through the flat top area of the mountain, but still also has some unobstructed views. Views from the summit are obstructed by trees, but views along both trails make it worthwhile. I was lucky enough to see a monitor on the south trail that jetted up a tree when I passed.

lots of sharp rocks, did it in Vivos and my feet are little sore but not that bad. Love the reminders of where you're up to every 500m shown on metal poll. I tapped each one with my water bottle thinking I've only got X amount to go! :D" took just under 4 hours but I started at the hotel."
