Ho's Palace Chinese & Seafood Restaurant

Short review : The WORST place to handling customer complaint. Food average, nothing special. You probably not allowed to charge your phone. They mark up the price so you have to check the bills.Explanations :I came there with 3 other friends so total 4 people had dinner.I order clearly only 1 chinese tea (for me) and they gave us 1 pot chinese tea with 4 tiny cups (which is normal in every chinese restaurant they give extra cups if its only 1-4 people) but when we check the bills they countbills as 4 chinese tea.I asked and told them I only order 1 pot and why the bills are 4? But she said because we use those 4 tiny cups. I said why you serve us 4 cups if I order only one? But she was so defensive, spoke with high pitch voice, and insist that we should pay 4. And I tried to defense myself because that their mistake but she was shouting and said that was our mistake use those other tiny cups?!? And we should asked before use those other cups??For me this just doesn't make any sense and how she react to this situation.Just serve 1 set if customer only order 1 dude, don't try to trick your customer.I can't imagine if I come with 10 people and they will give me 1 pot chinese tea with 10 tiny cups and they will count as 10 chinese tea?!?!? Come on Man!And the worst part in the middle of me complaining was the guy there said that I also charge my phone there, make it seems fair to pay extra?!?(WT*)THAT is so basic service sir! In every cafe, restaurant, hotel, no one ever be so stingy to their customer for charging their phone!!At the end we just paid as it is because we couldn't argue more, our mind just couldn't reach their level of stupidity.I think some financial issues happen in this business / bankrupt?? But no wonder tho if they do their business like this, the worst result they get.For Customer : Please check your bills IF you eat at this restaurant. I think they try to mark up the price if we didn't check.My suggestions is not to eat in here. Foods are so so, and really bad customer service. Unless you didn't check the price and you just pay they probably will be really nice because you pay more than you should.And for the lady there who shouting at us, please educate yourself more and learn about handling customer complaint before you run the business. She also shout and told us not to come anymore (of course never ever, and I hope other customers too).You shouldn't shout and scream like that to any customer and say sorry instead.

Delicious Chinese Food. Love the decor as it was like we were literally dining in Asia. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The portion sizes of the meals were very generous. Often after Chinese you feel quite thirsty due to some of the additives but we did not experience this at all . Would definitely recommend and support this locally owned restaurant!

After standing at the front of the counter for a while and having another customer walk in and nearly be served first. Got home to find some of the most disgusting looking and tasting honey chicken and Singapore noodles. Charging 40$ for this disgusting food is insane. Would not recommend at all.

Great food, but even better service. The staff were incredibly friendly and lovely when I picked up my food tonight. I stayed for a nice chat and the staff went above and beyond, even adding small things to my order just because.I was sad when I saw some of the reviews on here, especially from other locals. A lot of the negative reviewers seem to be expecting a fine dining experience; it’s a local restaurant that does simple but delicious food. And given the current economy, I think the prices are more than reasonable.Highly recommend and will continue to support :)

- Overcharged on all food (said $1.50 surcharge but charged us over $3 extra)- food was subpar- charged for meals that weren’t ordered- staff mistreated customers and yelled at themIn conclusion, if you’re thinking about going to this restaurant, think again.

Samuel and his wife are the owners of this great surprise in Blackheath. We’ll come back for the delicious food (good portion size too) and the amazing customer service. Highly recommend you give a try to Ho’s Palace to understand why they are in the business for 30 years.

Dined in last Weds night, our first night in Blackheath. Upon entering you are in awe of the ornately decorated interior. The owners waited on, cooked for and served us. So, so, so friendly and served such authentic and delicious food.We chose a $33.90 p/p banquet for 4 and were extremely impressed with soup, entrees, mains and rice. We had Chinese beers as well. As Sydney city dwellers, we found this food the tastiest, traditional chinese food. Beat all expectations of a small town Chinese restaurant. No wonder they have been serving tourists and locals for over 35 years.Please support this local business during what has been a most difficult year.PS. Simply cannot believe previous negative comments!!!!!!

Great little gem in Blackheath. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend trying this place out

Angela,I happened to be your waitress last night, it Is traditional that a table of 21 people orders a banquet, ordering 21 individual (and modified) dishes when we are as short staffed as we were is unusual, it was made clear to you that there was a surcharge before you were given your meals and that your party is unable to split the bill, you were not charged a $3 surcharge, that was taken for dish modifications.As for mistreatment by staff, a member of your party personally offered me and another staff member words of encouragement and thanks.

Wow. We were so glad to find this gem. The customer service was fantastic and the meal was excellent. The bok choy with garlic was especially good. I can see why they've been open for 30 years. 10/10 would recommend.
