I can highly recommend these Gents for their quality of service, knowledge and honesty. I had my car serviced for many years at a branch of one of those national chains. All the other place could suggest was replace this, replace that at great expense. I saw the guys at Donnelly's and they saved me over one thousand dollars as straight away they explained clearly what was wrong and how they could fix it. The car is running better than ever and now the whole family are taking their cars here,

I have tried a lot of mechanics on the Gold Coast. Donnelly Automotive are the only people I trust. Great service, honest mechanics, helpful staff and good value.

A representative of Donnelly Automotive Services was driving an Audi Q7 TDI and parked next to me today at school where I was picking up my brothers. She parked over the line, and I was in the middle of the park so I couldn't get out. She left for a good 15 minutes before returning to slam her rear right door into my driver side door.I hopped out to look at the damage, but she jumped in her car and was going to drive away! So I took a photo of her plates—an older woman with short blonde hair. I'll attach a photo of her plates.Anyway, she essentially attempted to flee the scene of an accident. We hadn't looked at the damage; she didn't give me her name or number, she just drove off like she hadn't just flung her door into mine. I spoke to a few of the parents, and they were appalled at her behaviour.I called Donnelly Automotive to let them know what had happened, but I think a negative review needs to be left because there is a bit of damage to my door which I had just cut and polished. If she had exchanged details and spoken to me, I would have happily dealt with her.She chose to pretend like it didn't happen though. Pretty disappointing from a respected Gold Coast business.

No idea how these guys have so many good reviews after the phone call I just had.Purchased a car with a stack of receipts from this business ammounting to near on 17k for engine work, the entire chain/guide housing is losing a LOT of oil so naturally I asked them if there's a warranty for that kind of work, or at least some insight into the work done. Ol' mate Bruce said he didn't have to tell me anything, and the conversation ended with him telling me to 'Get F'ked' and hanging up.It's case sealant. It's vital, and should last the life of the engine. If they can't get that right who knows what they're sending out the door. You'd expect professionals to stand by their work.Hope your experience is better than mine.

Very fast repair, only took 24 hours and the cost was half what I expected. Can highly recommend! UPDATE: Now my permanent mechanic. The service is fantastic.

Donnelly knows his stuff and well and truly looked after me and my mum multiple times. We've taken g35 skylines, Mazda's and my jaguar here all with great results.His prices are totally reasonable and they never make a hassle about pick up and drop off times.Turning in can be a bit of a pain but it's just before the taco Bell.

Donnelly Automotive are the best mechanics on the Gold Coast. I trust them with my car always and I know that Bruce will always look after his customers. He doesn't try to rip you off and always goes above and beyond to try to find you the best price for the car part. I once had an oil leak and was quoted $2,500 to fix by other mechanic. He said that it was just a little pipe which was easily accessesibe and his fix was $60!!! I will always recomend him as I know that he puts the customer first. Thank you Bruce and the Team!

Bruce was fantastic! My daughter has a Japanese Import Toyota Estima and she was extremely worried about the noise it was making after it was repaired with another mechanic on Brisbane's north side.Bruce kindly assisted us and identifying the problem after three other mechanics looked at it and was extremely honest with us. Not a major thing to worry about, just the muffler and Bruce didn't even charge for the consultation!Would recommend his services just on the basis of his honesty!!! Thanks Bruce,Loni
