LAB Strathfield
Had a wide range of baked goods, cakes and drinks to choose from, with clear list of ingredients which made it helpful for dietary restrictions. The iced taro latte was sweet and refreshing, and their iced coffees are strong and are perfect as a pick me up. Efficient and friendly service, definitely would go back.

Many students in the inner west will know this place! It is a study paradise and has amazing lighting and atmosphere, I do wish that they could expand the bakery in the future and more tables. The food can be quality checked a bit more. Sometimes I will get a really good dessert it will be worth the price. But many times the cakes, bread and ades aren't worth the price. Overall, LAB is, in practice, better than other bakeries. The only standards they have to compete with is themselves. Also I really recommend the strawberry Bingsu, I have it every time with my friend and it doesn't disappoint!

Bought a strawberry cake today but sadly the cake that I got taste extremely bad. The cake is not fresh and it turns sour. So disappointed as today is my friend’s birthday but we got a spoiled cake.Update: A person in charge (Kevin) has given me refund and a replacement cake. Thanks for his effective response.

The Lab Strathfield is an absolutely fantastic environment, offering a serene studying environment, a diverse menu of beverages and food choices as well as being a perfect and chill hangout spot with friends. The customer service was phenomenal. Especially the 6’1 Korean cashier who so enthusiastically helped me voyage through my cake slice choosing endeavours amidst Lab’s plethora of options. He helped me narrow down to their mango cream cake slice( I recommend this as well). The lush freshness of the mango fruit and the rich indulgence of the cream created an immaculate dessert that thoroughly satisfied my cravings. This was topped off with a warm smile to which I knew the cake was made with meticulous care and skilled craft.

Delicious cakes, coffee and bingsoo! The mango one is the best. It’s very crowded, sometimes can be hard to find a table. Nice atmosphere.

Went into the newly opened Parramatta shop and everything was great! Awesome creamy coffee, perfect temperature and well balanced flavours. The staff are really friendly and it's great watching them decorating the cakes.Thank you! Will be coming back!

Been here and the one at Rhodes many, many times and I love the cakes here. If you're not into cream you might not be a fan since they're a bit heavy handed with it but overall the cakes are very light and not too sweet which I love. I always get drinks from here too but it's either a hit or miss. Love the iced taro and matcha drinks. The crushes and ades are also delicious. The iced strawberry latte however is not good - too sickly, thick because of excessive artificial syrup and you're more thirsty after drinking it. I am addicted to chai so I've had many and the ones here are on the lower end - bit of a weird burnish aftertaste. The drinks are definitely more on the sweet side overall so if you have a sweet tooth, it'll be perfect for you. Aesthetic cafe with great vibes.

2 stars instead of 1 because of cafe aesthetics, atmosphere and probably good-decent drinks, like their Taro Latte. Ordered their macarons ($4.50 ea) and it tasted like air and sugar, there was no intensity of flavor at all, we left them half eaten. To add onto that, the tiramisu bingsu was honestly atrocious - if you want layers of mascarpone cheese, frozen full cream milk and cocoa powder, go for it. There was 0 coffee flavor or sponge biscuits, I don’t even know why it’s tiramisu flavored or why it’s on the menu. We scooped out as much cheese as we could (on the plate as shown) but that’s only half of what was in the bingsu. I genuinely felt queasy after. The only redeeming factor was that the shaved ice was smooth.
