CALAMVALE DISCOUNT FRUIT BARN

Any fruit or veges you buy from just outside the shop, need to be consumed fairly quickly. It's often very ripe and hasn't got much shelf life left. There is a lot of choice of fruit and veg. Sometimes, it's pricey. Nonetheless it's definitely worth making this store your regular fruit and vegetable store.

Love shopping at this place, but one of the checkout girls is rather rude, doesn't greet you or use any manners, definitely isn't polite! Otherwise a great place to shop

This use to be a great fruit shop but since the new owners have taken over its gone downhill!Every single time I go through the checkout they are rude, not friendly and ALWAYS try to over charge me!I feel sorry for the people who don't check receipts because they are ripping people off!DO BETTER!

Produce has progressively gotten worse over the years - generally not fresh and the checkout operators (especially the night one) is rude. 3 separate times they had charged incorrectly (not an issue as the items are not barcoded, mistakes happen), however on pointing out, none of these times this person apologized (or said any word at all). Quietly corrected and invoiced. Attitude could be better.

It used to be my favourite fruit and vegetable shop but as years goes by cashiers have started to get rude. Doesn't even greet and smile at consumers anymore. I understand that we all have some bad days but to have a sulky face and rude attitude is not a good thing.

Went there to check it out as it is open 24/7, picked up a bag marked at 99c from a table of items all 99c but the table had a notice saying everything was further marked down to 49c. Was charged 99c and could not convince the girl at the checkout it should have been 49c even after going and taking a picture of the table and sign. Eventually got 40c (yep, bizarre math) back after I approached another staffer. I was happy to let it go as paid by card so a refund was a pain but wanted her to know the markdowns were further marked down but she either wouldn't listen or couldn't understand even after being shown the picture and then seeing the sign for herself. Sigh. Excellent way to impress us as first time customers. If it weren't for this I would have rated 4 or 5 stars.

We moved into Calamvale from the Redlands almost 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. We’ve been shopping for fruit and vegetables with Calamvale Discount Fruit Barn ever since we settled into the area.The staff on the counters are always friendly towards us and the men packing the shelves often say hello.Well over a year ago I needed brown bananas and couldn’t find any. So I politely asked one of the male staff if they had any brown bananas out the back. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and gave me brown banana’s for free. Was so grateful that I made cake for the staff and delivered it the next day.I like to bake banana cakes and cupcakes from scratch for family and close friends when special occasions arise.We appreciate your store.
