I've visited AYA twice and have had the pleasure of joining a flow class led by Nickie. From the reception to the pre class prep, the studio had a very cozy and rejuvenating feeling. The provided equipment like yoga mats and blocks are really nice and the mats have good friction so I don't feel like I'm slipping when I get a little sweaty. The class itself is superb with gentle guidance for newcomers and a little more dynamic flows for regulars or experienced yogi's. Every flow also had some scaled down progressions allowing me to find a flow with the appropriate progressions for my level, and not feeling out of place in class.Seeing the instructors communicate with all their students and also share about their recent experiences, was great in breaking the tension and allowed a newcomer like myself to feel included in the community!Definitely recommend trying out AYA and checking it out for yourself!

My fave yoga studio! Adele is my go-to teacher as I love her insightful words and gentle adjustments to suit my body and level.

Have been to several studio's and this is by far the best. Adele is an amazing instructor. Highly recommend!

I recently did my 200hr teacher training with AYA. They delivered beyond anything I could imagine. The training space in beautiful. They are extremely flexible, allowing for online and in person. The content is delivered by experts in their fields. We learnt not only about becoming yoga teachers but also about the cardiovascular, immune, endocrine, digestive, muscle and skeletal systems. I loved learner about all the different asana categories, yin, pre/post natal, mediation, mindfulness and pranayama and of course yoga philosophy.The community, the teachers and the people you meet are diverse, respectful and constantly evolving and they show that through the delivered training. I can’t recommend this place enough to start your yoga teacher training.Now that I’ve completed the training, I will be continuing being engaged in AYA community, getting mentorship and exposure to the senior teachers as well doing more of their specialised training. The alumni and continual connection is a real bonus since they have been around and teaching since 2005!

Always love visiting this place, the energy in the room is always soo calming and love the teachers and how they communicate.I highly recommend trying it out if you haven't already! You will be going back for more.

I love AYA - the studio itself is warm and welcoming and it has an amazing energy about it. The facilities are fantastic especially if you’re arriving straight after work - there’s showers, free towels and lockers for your belongings. The teachers are fantastic and make you feel really welcome. I especially love Wendy’s yin yoga, I left feeling the most relaxed I’ve felt in a long time! Don’t hesitate to try out this studio, you won’t regret it.

We had Phil as our teacher and he was great! Such a beautiful studio. Adele was so incredible with communication and helping organise a session for our staff. Highly recommend!

AYA is beyond expectation. I got my diploma in Yoga teaching.The staff are great, friendly and supportive. I felt at home during the 15 weeks journey. AYA such a safe space to be yourself and learn in a fun environment. The teachers come from different expertise, which adds lots of value to the degree.Along with all of that, they tailor the service based on your need.I love everyone there, and I will always be part of those beautiful people.

Great studio space and incredibly awesome teachers!! Love an AYA class. They never disappoint.

I really did like the Australian Academy of Yoga, mostly because of the teachers. They are very knowledgable and helpful.The space itself is quite pokey, with bollards in the Shallah, mats are available to hire, there is no structure on how you lay your mat so you feel kind of crammed.Shoes are to left downstairs at the door. There is one toilet which again is pokey. Valuable are to be left in a shelf in the Shallah which has about 16 spaces.The classes themselves are brilliant. It can and does get very sweaty in the room mid practice, kind of smelly off putting as in suffocating. Lots of asana -they also hold special nights for meditation etc. Training, music meditation too.Look for the cost I have had so much better. I think their studio in Prahran needs relocation or remodel.I will iterate that the teachers are great. Its the studio that loses points.At the end of the day it is what you are used to.
