Little Laika
Have been here on a couple of occasions and ordered the house crumpets and the maple roasted brussel sprouts salad. Both dishes were presented nicely and came out quick. The crumpets lacked flavour however the brussel sprouts salad was delicious.

The crumpets were delicious but confused as to why the green leafy thing was on it, would of been better with a raspberry instead. The milkshakes were suppose to be chocolate and strawberry but is was more like vanilla instead of strawberry, a pinch of strawberry syrup is all it had in it. The price was also outrageous.

Staff are friendly here and the place has a lovely vibe and atmosphere with a neighbouring playground for children. Dined here in the past with issues but management was very efficient to address the issue and really values their service and quality with follow up to staff training. On the return visit, definitely have improved. The cafe was a full house but wait time for a table, ordering, and for order to arrive at the table was still acceptable. Prawn and chorizo linguini was delicious with great flavour and scrambled egg for little egg with sourdough was cooked to the right texture. Portion size however, was a slight let down given the prices. Coffee was excellent in flavour except the temperature was just lukewarm by the time it was served which is a let down for good tasting coffee. Overall had an enjoyable experience and still recommend this place.

Over praise. The milk foam on the coffee is creamy which is good skilled. But the food was just average compared to its price. The pasta was so oily that makes me feel uncomfortable after I finished it. ( see my photo) High price should have this quality. I think I’ll only eat once in my life.

If there were more stars I would add them. I had the best salmon salad I have ever enjoyed here today. The decor matches Lot One Kitchen and the staff too are friendly but not imposing. Love love love it here.

Only the kids had a meal each after they had a play at the nice outdoor playground area close by. Location is great if you can get outdoor seating as the kids can play whist the adults have a bite to eat or a coffee or tea. The spaghetti was nice and good portion for a child. The fries were nice too but the burger was very disappointing as the chicken patty was very hard. Very busy here during school holidays.

I have been here several times now, and the Brisket Benny is to die for! I always get a Cappuccino, and it always tastes excellent! Add Little Laika to your venues to visit, for sure!
