Worlds End Caravan and Camp Site
The sign at this site actually says World's End Reserve. It is just past along the entry to the Gorge campsite. It's a long, spread out camp area along the creek with plenty of rubbish bins, picnic tables and camp fire sites. Beautiful Murray River redgums provide shade and there are composting toilets at each end. Byo loo paper. This camp is 20 mins to Burra and 50 mins to Clare. Be prepared each evening for the rowdy cocktaoos and galahs exchanging insults loudly in the trees above. Grassy and non grassy areas. When wet, it's not boggy.

A good place to go caravanning or camping. Each designated area is spacious and the place is beautiful. SEVERAL THINGS: Flies are unfortunately plentiful and oppressive between mid morning and before sunset. Mosquitoes are plentiful from sunset onwards. Occasional march-flies. Some people apparently like to arrive after dark which can detract from the silence and ambience. It's a fairly popular camp-site area so expect people coming and leaving all day. Be sure to setup your tent /caravan in a position so it gets full shade during the afternoon. There are X3 longdrop toilets available. The birds are beautiful but make a terrible ruckus into the early night and very early in the morning. Snakes are rare but certainly out there too. Bring your own kindling and firewood and check the fire ban dates first. At the time of writing this it was free and no prior permission was required from authorities before staying here. There is zero mobile phone coverage here. Bring a camera and sunscreen too!

Very nice large camp off peak but fills up fast over weekends and empties just as fast. Toilets are filthy disgusting, can't figure why they build nice toilets then not clean them. Also saw a few dogs roaming the camp sites at night. Would not recommend during peak times.

One of the best free campsites in the region; definitely worth a visit. But dress warm as it can get very cold at night.
