Warm, friendly knowledgeable staff that steered us towards new dishes we hadn't tried before. The were all delicious, fresh and served with beautiful accompaniments that they make themselves, and were really well matched. Love that they are open for lunch too. Will definitely be back.

I was excited to visit this new local restaurant situated only 5 minutes from my home. Upon arrival we were greeted my a friendly gentleman who seated us at a table away from the door which I was pleased about as it was an extremely cold night. There is not a lot of room between the tables which can make it difficult to get in and out. Even my husband was having difficulty and he's quite a slim person. You're also seated rather close to others so if this is an issue for you it's something to be aware of.The food is amazing and presented beautifully - the attention to detail is superb and the flavours are so tasty. However, it was a bit of a wait for our food and I wouldn't say the restaurant was super busy. Also, dishes come out rather spasmodic, but the few things lacking at this restaurant are made up by the quality of the food and the warm and friendly demeanour of the staff. I I will definitely be returning.

I think this restaurant has an interesting and innovative menu. I’ve been a couple of times and really enjoyed the novel starters and generous servings. The staff are very attentive. Im glad to see they have changed the name to spice mantra. It needed to be rebranded. I think it has a nice atmosphere.

We were 8 people and we love the food and very professional service, staff was giving attention to every detail. Great place to enjoy parties and food is absolutely delicious and very creative. I wish spice mantra all the best. Looking forward to going back soon.

This place is amazing!! The food is high quality and beautifully presented! We had onion badji and chicken tandoori starter and korm plus Nan and saffron rice! It was so delicious and the staff really go out their way to make sure that you feel welcome and accommodate your spice palette needs by asking how hot you would like! This is our new favourite Indian by far the best in Melbourne! We will be back! Thank you again for the hospitality!
