Richmond Barracks
My husband and I stayed in Lady Esther at Richmond Barracks for Dark Mofo. The accommodation was great, very large space over 2 levels. brilliantly equipped kitchen. Simone, the host was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. It's a 4 minute walk to the cutest town, lovely shops and cafes and the food at the pub was great and open 7 days a week. IGA supermarket is good. We couldn't fault this place. THANK YOU SIMONE!

Richmond Barracks
We stayed in March 2018 in Lady Esther Cottage and it was clean, cosy and very roomie for 3 adults. Comfy beds with a warm and inviting ‘feel’ to the Cottage and Barracks as a whole. Not only was Simone welcoming and accommodating, she provided excellent advice on places to visit and very knowledgeable to Richmond and the surrounding areas. The Barracks are within walking distance to the town and other highlights within the area. We enjoyed our stay immensely and we highly recommend Richmond Barracks!!

Great place to stay if you're in Richmond or surrounding areas. Simone, the owner couldn't have been more helpful... the rooms have a very homely feeling about them and are very reasonably priced.

The host Simone was so accommodating from the initial booking to the end of our 6 night stay. We found Richmond to be the perfect base to explore the south of Tasmania. The cottage was very comfortable and lacking nothing. 1

Charming cottage (Lady Esther). Cosy, well equipped, clean, close to everything. So nice to sit at table having breakfast looking out onto garden. Simone, went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and are eagerly looking forward to our stay at the end of the year.

Richmond Barracks
We are in the cottage named The Retreat. It is set up to accommodate three. You would have to be on good terms though, as the bedroom has a queen sized bed, and another bed in the one room. Otherwise it's good. Two couches, a dining table, small fridge, kitchenette with toaster oven, microwave, and a hotplate, for cooking, air-conditioning, tv, dvd player, games, books, etc. The shower is of good size. Plenty of linen, and some hanging space. It's definitely clean. Rates are reasonable.
