LSR Autobody - Mercedes-Benz

Had a minor accident, front of C63 was damaged. My mechanic told me that LSR Autobody was the best repairer for Mercedes in this area. So I took my car to them and was told there would be a 2 month delay. I decided that I would wait and let them repair it. The LSR repair assessor guy asked me if I'd prefer to take my car to a nearby competitor instead (which I thought was odd with the benefit of hindsight).When I got my car back after repairs (2.5 months later) I noticed a few things.1) The headlight on driver's side (that wasn't replaced) had a nice big scratch in it that was not there before I had car repaired. I took it on the chin and managed to polish it out (mostly).2) In bright daylight I noticed some paint imperfections on the bonnet (which had been repainted by LSR - I showed them to a couple of other people and they told me it was likely dirt specks or grit under the new paint - it's not hugely noticebable but it's not a perfect paint job.3) After I got my car back from LSR I noticed (in bright light) that my windscreen was strangely dirty or smeared. At first I thought it might be over spray of clear coat but decided there was no way LSR would allow that to occur. Eventually I worked out that it was the adhesive behind the tint on the windscreen and wondered what could have caused it. As it it only became evident after I got my car back from LSR I speculate that there may have been a heat source to dry paint on front of my car which melted or affected the tint adhesive. I have since had my windscreen replaced (it had some old stone chips in it as well so I probably would have done this anyway) - however I felt it was worth mentioning.I told LSR about my concerns and the owner called me personally, was very courteous and offered to have my car detailed for free. After my experiences I decided not to take them up on this offer. I get the impression that he was unhappy about my experiences (being told to go somewhere else or wait 2 months) and hopefully he does a quality control check on his paint guys to avoid this happening to others.I only felt it was important to mention these issues because LSR have such a good reputation and hopefully these are constructive criticisms that may help the owner address them promptly.

Amazing staff and great customer service. The repairs were completed incredibly fast. Mercedes Benz is lucky to have them as an authorised repairer.

I cannot fully convey how extremely happy I am with not only repair of my precious prestige vehicle but the extreme level of professionalism, courtesy and service I received from LSR. Warren and the team returned my vehicle to a brand new condition with impeccable attention to detail. The weekly update reports and constant communication was just one aspect of their incredible service which eased the angst of the situation. I would have absolutely no hesitation in taking any future vehicle here for collision repair should I be unfortunate enough to have an accident. I could not recommend LSR Autobody high enough. I sent my car for an accident repair (near the fuel door. it wasn't my fault.) in the mid of January and picked up two weeks later. The paintwork looks good. However the sunroof switch (button) is found half-broken on my way back home right after picking up my car. I report this issue to this repairer straightaway. Next day I send the car back and I am told that this is a tear and wear issue and they are not responsible for it. I am told this is a coincidence. I use the sunroof a couple days before the repair and the switch is working. What a coincidence that it is found on the day it's picked up from the repairer! Now I am facing to foot a huge bill to replace the entire switch unit. I would like to give 5 stars to the paintwork but have to take away 4 stars due to the broken switch. I'm sorry.

The team at LSR Autobody are extremely professional and helpful. Took my car in for a repair, they assisted with the whole process and had it back to me looking brand new. Couldn’t be happier with the service and would recommend to anyone!

The LSR Team attended to some minor repairs to one of our Company vehicles, a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit.The customer service, as always, was outstanding and the quality of the finished work was perfect.LSR Autobody have for years looked after our Mercedes and Range Rover cars and we didn't hesitate to take one of the Company vehicles straight to them.........no problem at all and effortless.If you're a perfectionist, you will not be disappointed.
