Truly Scrumptious
Decided to try this little hidden cafe down a Mentone lane way. Wanted a quick brunch and was promptly seated by Tamara, the owner as i found out later. My strong 3 shot coffee arrived as ordered only minutes after i sat down. Closely followed by my dukkah seasoned middle Eastern inspired egg breakfast. Must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the presentation and food quality and flavours. The venue floors were clean, as were the tables and counters with the food arranged looked very fresh and appeared to be made largely on premises. The staff were engaging and happy. I noticed the menu offers a wide variety of foods that will appeal to teens and adults alike. Kudos to the owners for the sensible prices for the pasta and risotto menu options. Along with very reasonable prices for fresh juices, smoothies and milk shakes. To be a great and successful food venue, the equation for owners should be to focus on delivering a mix of quality food, great service at sensible and even market competitive prices. That will keep the diners not only coming back, but with their friends next time.

Wouldn’t you believe it ! Hidden away in the Mentone shopping precinct is this delightful eatery.Magnificently brewed coffee and tasty food , and customer service that leaves you feeling special .Yes the lovely blonde ladies ( sorry didn’t catch name) are delightful in professionalism and friendliness .Highly recommend you try this place next time your in Mentone .

Love this place and the staff. My last review was during lockdown and therefore totally different. The space has undergone a minor renovation to maximise room and allow flow to the outdoor section (will be handy in good weather - it's gotta happen some time soon)TS is not open on a weekend. This is a shame as I rate it first choice for Mentone cafes where the competition is hot for the coffee dollar...Oh, yes, and those savoury muffins still taste good.

Be warned… do not ask the manager to be accountable for mucking up your order…I’ve been eating at this cafe for years and have enjoyed the service and food. I’m very careful when ordering my food and cuppa to be delivered together or as close as possible.Recently my cuppa was delivered ahead of the food by over 10 minutes. I asked for the cuppa to be replaced and was responded to with a hostile and very peed off manager.I decided to move forward and returned to the café three days later to be met with a cold shoulder, no eye contact and a ridiculous amount of small change (about $5) all in silver, handed to me with an air of hostility.Don’t upset the manager.

You have to visit this cafe. Absolutely delightful staff, efficient service and truly wonderful food. The carrot and date muffin was 11/10! Well worth a visit

Food was lovely, especially the French Vanilla Slice. Lots of people dining, and it's clearly popular due to the fact it was full, and you could book too. One downer was the unisex toilet, and being a woman, they aren't very nice anyway. An older bloke with a cane was coming out of the only toilet there was, as I was standing next to the sink, but we didn't both fit when trying to open the inner-swinging outer door to the corridor, and, it was kind of awkward waiting for him to wash his hands while at very close quarters with him because I couldn't get past him to go into the toilet cubicle.A suggestion would be to remove the outer door altogether, to avoid awkwardly being so close.
