Crispy batter, succulent fresh flake. Golden crispy potato cakes and quality chips. Food was ordered and ready in 10 mins. Absolutely awesome, can’t wait to get back!

Fantastic food, and yes, the owner and staff are terrific, but make sure you pick your order up as I just had a non-delivery by Menulog, 2 hours after ordering it, and 1 hour after the requested delivery time. I reluctantly cancelled the order which was still sitting at the restaurant 30 minutes after being ready to deliver, with the Menulog driver nowhere to be seen. I feel for the shop as they are doing everything right to try to provide great customer service, but they are not helped by unreliable drivers. Hard to find reliable people. Seems to be a sign of the times.

Norman Avenue Fish and Chips
I really like the food at Norman Avenue Fish and Chip Shop and have ordered from there many times with no problems but I had an awful experience this evening using MenuLog to order online. After placing my order, I wanted to change pick up time, but was offered no help through the phone call I made to the shop. So, I cancelled the original order, then re-ordered for an earlier pick up time. Pretty straightforward. My friend was to pick up on their way to my place, but on arrival it seemed that there was no record of the order - even though I had confirmation by text, and forwarded that to my friend to show at the shop. From there, she was repeatedly ignored as she tried to work out if the order was forthcoming or not. It obviously wasn't and she over heard someone say that the fish had to thaw out before it could be cooked (!!?!!). She requested to cancel the order and get a refund as it wasn't going to be ready anywhere near the agreed time ( as per MenuLog order). Again she was completely ignored by all staff, and ended up leaving the premises with no food, even though it had been paid for through the MenuLog website. So, I am no out of pocket $30+, and not happy with the service received.
