Tuffy Toned A1 Exhaust and Mechanical

Honestly incredibly disappointed and a waste of money and time. Took my partners little car there after being recommended by a family member of his. The check engine light had been going on and off for around a month. The car also needed a new pink slip. So we took it in for a service and the slip. 1 week later the check engine light is back on and the engine completely shuts off in the middle of intersection on a steep hill which obviously put us in a really dangerous position. After paying $600 you wouldn’t really expect that to happen. Took it to another mechanical who said there’s a pretty obvious leak which looks like it’s been there for quite some time. So why on earth did this car get passed if it clearly wasn’t roadworthy. Regardless of this I believed we have been taken advantage of, I was the one to drop this car off I’m a female and a p-plater. I don’t have a lot of knowledge about cars and I believe the mechanic used this to his advantage to overcharge us. Another thing when I went to pick up the car I ended up standing at the front counter for 15 minutes completely ignored when multiple people had seen me. Maybe I should’ve made it clearer I was there but still. Not to mention the fact they are so extremely hard to get a hold of. We called them around 3-4 times with half the time the call going straight to voicemail. Please keep in mind I am only sharing my experience the mechanic side of the business and know nothing of the other side. The person i spoke with was named Max. I do not recommend this business to anyone. We now have to pay to fix this car for the second time.

After a poor experience with another shop, I was left with new mufflers that sat way inside the bumper. Michael extended the tips and fixed these up. He was friendly and super easy to deal with. I can easily recommend his services to anyone looking to do exhaust work.

Can't speak highly enough of the Tuffy Toned team. After being quoted in the region of $2000 during a recent service for an exhaust and tire replacement, the team were able to resolve the same issues for less than $300 (exhaust could be welded, and tires were fine so didn't require any change), in addition to taking the time to educate on the parts to be more aware in future. Great attitude and customer service, so will definitely be back in future.

Very professional bunch. Honest pricing. Saved me $13k. Audi Newcastle had failed to sort my DPF and wanted me to pay 13k for a new one.They said there was no other option but to replace it. Tuffy Toned removed, cleaned and reinserted for a fraction. My Q7 is now running like a dream again. Excellent job. They were worth the trip from Newcastle to Sydney

I had to have my exhaust welded back together and a few mounts fixed. I went to tuffy after a few other shops said I should just get a new one. Their quote was priced very fairly and they had it fixed in the same day. In a world of bad mechanics I am relieved to find these guys and will no doubt be back if I’m in need of repairs. Very good people.

Took my Golf R in as the previous owner had removed the resonator and I wanted it to sound less droney. Mark took time to explain the different options and how they might affect the sound. I'm extremely happy with the end result and also his welding skills. Great business and I'll be back for future work.
