Ingenia Holidays Merry Beach

We have gone to Merry Beach for the last 10 years approximately and after this Easter I will not return. I’ve put up with the sticky cabin floors, and bore water you bath in and the sick kids from drinking water in the bathroom accidentally.. however this year I was charged a cleaning fee without consultation for “the filthy state the cabin was left” (this was said in an email) which was rubbish. The cabin was clean however dish washing was left in the rack and due to tiny dishwashing liquid bottle provided ran out and reception didn’t open till 9am to refill .. and when I questioned the fee the park manager admitted they do not re- wash the cutlery and plates and kitchen wear after customers.. I thought this extrodinary after covid..in other words I could wipe a spoon in the toilet and leave in the draw ready for the next tenant…. The Easter fee is over $300 night is just not justified for smelly bore water bathroom, and new manager has lost touch..KD

Was very very disappointed with the park. Firstly the spot we got required car jacks to lift the front enough to put in the jockey wheel, the showers and toilets were mostly clean but the smell of stale bore water from the pipes and around the facilities was terrible. The price charged for the spot were $109 per night yet I drove 25 mins to Burrill lake and paid the same price for far better facilities and a nicer flat spot. Definitely not value for money there. The wildlife was beautiful though. If you want to pay $150 night you can get a spot over looking the beach, as per the advertised photos, on flat ground near the newer facilities. But the stench is still there around the new facilities. Two stars is for the wildlife and the beach outlook, mother natures contribution. The facilities for kids and the pool is good for the kids. We have stayed in many parks over 10 years and this one would be by far in our top three of bad ones.

Received a call about a month before I was due to arrive to tell me that someone had changed my booking by mistake and they needed to know all my details to re do the booking. Went through it all with the lady and she fixed it up. Received a email the night before to do my online check in. The details were wrong and instead of the price of $480 it was $900. Called the next morning when they opened and after arguing with the lady on the phone she finally went and checked with someone else and confirmed that my booking was wrong and wasn’t fixed from when they called me a month ago. It was such a beautiful park and great location shame that something like this has now wrecked the experience and turned me off from ever going back. I will also be letting all my family and friends know to not go to this park.I am not able to reply to your comment but I do have screen shots from when you sent me the $900 invoice and am more than happy to email them through to you as proof.

The location, views, nature and wildlife was magical.. the staff went above and beyond for me twice!! An abundance of clean amenities. 5 stars all around.

if i could give this a 0 star i would!, this is an abomination to women! Merry beach needs to hire a new mr whippy!mr whippy saw me standing in the line with 3 other kids and purposely got in the drivers seat and drove away just because he wanted to watch the football.everytime i see mr whippy i get an ice cream but today he decided he didnt want to serve me! i guess his kids wont be going to university anymore considering i pay for it.Merry beach! hire a new mr whippy man or u and i will have problems as this is extremely disrespectful.

I would give 5 starsBut they don't have water to sites,You have to fill up containers from a tap on site.In saying that we continue to go back as it is so nice staying right on the beach.And staff are very friendly.It's possibly my favorite van park.
