Mount Keira Ring track
Beautiful lookout with easy, moderate, and hard tracks. The hard tracks are not really suitable for young kids, but definitely nice for adults.

Beautiful track but don’t go on a rainy day… I had more than 30 leeches on me on New Year’s Day, 14 bites! Shame as beautiful view. Didn’t have insect repellent and salt with us as we changed our plan at last minute. So come prepared with these just in case

Beautiful and choice of easy or hard hike at Mt. Keira Ring Track.Park at Byarong Park and start your hike. Once you get to the ring track from parking. Go on your left (clockwise) of ring track for easy hike, otherwise you will need to climb steep stairs for about 15 min or more.Bring water and some fruits to stop by in between to appreciate the nature more while recharging yourself. More on 30 second video...if you do a clockwise hike, take your time to find the trailhead (it's at the end of the car park with small sign) just near the end of the hike. It can get super confusing.

Steep and slippery in places but worth it for the lyrebirds, the beautiful scenery and an amazing algae covered pond.

Mount Keira Ring track
A 5.5km loop through a clear path around Mount Keira. Lush forestry surrounds the walking path with different species of plants, birds and wildlife to be seen along the way. There are some challenging steep stair sections and other easier sections on the flat.Byarong park is the best place to start and has parking. Other parking also available at other points along the track as well though.Overall, an enjoyable and scenic walk/hike in the Illawarra.

Perhaps one of the best serious hikes around Wollongong. It is around 9km loop and if you know your way around, some spots are great to enjoy the peace ans the view.

Mount Keira Ring track
Would not suggest this track as there were no signs or proper directions. To make things worse, track branches into 2 or 3 tracks at few places, causing lot of confusion. Had seen a couple and their son lost track off where they parked their car. If you can manage, it's fun. To be cautious, note your starting point by taking a pic and mark as to which route you have taken.

Mount Keira Ring track
Treat yourself to this area. The drive reminds me of home (Oahu and tantalus drive) and the view is incredible. Have camera ready. I suggest getting there before 1pm before the shadows creep across toward the sea.
