Shepherds Artisan Bakehouse (Main Bakery & Office)

I often buy sourdough bread rolls from the Parramatta Farmers' Market (the nice young man who works at the stall recognises my wide-brimmed white hat!). Lovely rolls and very generous with the seeds. The price is quite good too.

Went past your eastgardens branch today and noticed you had some nice rye bread. When the lady went to slice the bread we noticed a few German cockroaches crawling around the bread display. We told the lady what we saw and her response was we have already told the bakery and they still have not done anything about it"Needless to say we did no buy any bread and nor will we ever from any of your outlets.If this is how management respond to the health and safety of their customers I dare say they won't be around for long once government bodies get involved."

We purchased a soy & linseed sour dough loaf & a 6 fruit loaf today at Castle Hill when we stopped on our way home, wow they are beautiful. Unfortunately we live in Shellharbour and cannot access it easily, I wish they had a store down here. Highly recommend the bread and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

We switched bread suppliers a while back to Sheppards. This change meant we paid a little bit more for our sourdough bread than our previous supplier but boy was it worth it!The quality is fantastic, the flavour is so good. I've tried a number of different Breads from these guys and they have all been A1.They also offer brilliant customer service and have helped us out a number of times with late orders.Thanks to the team at Sheppards you guys are doing a great job!

I have coeliac disease and was super excited when this bakery opened in Edmondson Park. Unfortunately the excitement all disappeared when I purchased their Gluten Free Bread. Let me start by the fact that the bread bag was so heavy felt like I was carrying a rock. The actual bread itself smelled like oil and was so dense I couldn’t even finish my sandwich. I gave it another go by toasting it but that didn’t go too well either :( I guess I have to go back to supermarket bread or ordering online from other bakery’s. Please review your recipe for this bread, it’s amazing that your inclusive but just disappointing when the effort is all wasted by the quality.

After a difficult experience with a purchased product, the team at Shepherds went over and above to resolve. I think the true character of a business or person is demonstrated when things go wrong and, after a bumpy start, Shepherds gets a gold star for how they responded to and managed my concern. My appreciation and recommendation is sincere.

This place is amazing, I bought online and picked up from there warehouse. Their help and service was brilliant and the bread was the best.I love sourdough and my girlfriend needs gluten free, they have both at good value.I will definitely be a regular.

Great tasting bread, quality ingredients and love the variety they offer. My local cafe buys from this supplier, that's how I came across this fabulous tasting bread. My favourite is the activated charcoal and sourdough loaf. Highly recommend this artisan bakery.

Working here in the factory involved swatting cockroaches and flies off all machines before startup and being significantly underpaid. A company that does what they like and then claims ignorance with no repercussions. Having produced the bread here I would NEVER eat it.Owners response doesn't make what I said any less true. They don't engage with staff when they use proper channels, just try and hide. Review is left to warn future customers about the company there are buying from.
