When researching a suitable real estate agency that had good statistics, I chose Harris. All the Harris reviews were good for all the reasons I was looking for. Other agency reps I were selling themselves and their achievements and not focusing on our house & a custom marketing strategy. I have encountered Harris as a property management company after selling my property through another agency and having the new owner use them as a letting agency for 2 months. Ongoing issues for over 5 weeks now trying to have a bond returned after leaving a simple picture on a wall which was present on sale. I have never dealt with a more petty agent and clearly will do anything to retain bonds for tenants…

For tenants: they will actually lie about the state of the property to try to keep your bond.In our case, they claimed the carpets were dirty and needed professional cleaning. When we finally received the inspection photos, they had not even taken photos of the stains in the carpets from previous tenants. They had completely avoided photographing 80% of the room in detail Luckily, we had upon moving in. The incoming photos look exactly the same as the outgoing dirty" inspection.Not to mention they blamed us for leaving "garbage" behind. The garbage were bricks from the property that the gas company ripped up - the property of the landlord. No acknowledgement of this error was ever made.Be prepared to go to SACAT to get your bond in full from the very beginning of the tenancy. Document everything and keep a record of every communication through email. Do not be anxious about that and do not give in to their intimidation. The burden of proof is on them."

I found Andrew a very easy person to deal with. His knowledge of our area was terrific and nothing was to much trouble. We met several years ago at an open and had him value our property, he presented as a man I would want to sell it and told we would contact him when we were ready.In due course we did proceed, and he was sure he could get the price negotiated and then some. He did achieve this and I would highly recommend his professional and friendly nature and he is a nice bloke as well.
