Had a great tour through the underground sculptures. For an artist with no training they are amazing with very recognisable peopleGuides were very friendly.Was lovely and cool and took about an hour to walk our way through.Highly recommended for something different to do.

This was the BEST tour in the ridge". It highlighted mining methods & the difficult life past & present miners endure. Added to this is the amazing sculptures one man has done throughout his mine. All staff friendly and the guide very knowledgeable. NOT TO BE MISSED

What an amazing place. The carvings of all sorts of things from First Nations people, Pop stars, Prime Ministers, The Last Supper, Super heroes and ancient Egypt plus more are truely incredible. The man who did these is so talented ( he is in his 80s now)Well worth a visit… remember to book online.

$45 to enter. However if you add mining tour together $80. Recommend you book on line of you want mine tour as they are certain times. Either way we’ll worth the visit.

My place on the tour was pre-booked and I highly recommend that you book ahead to get a place in the tour. I only did the first level being the sandstone carvings but I recommend that you leave at least two hours to do that part. It’s an amazing tour and the carvings are exactly that, amazing! You are allowed to take photos of the carvings, just don’t take any when walking down or up the stairs. Also bring your money because the opals in the shop are so beautiful and the settings are something that I have not seen in a lot of them before. If you only do the sandstone carvings tour, they have a video that’s continuous play that tells you about the next level. This mine also had a one person lift if you have some mobility issues. Keep your phone charged for photos and put it on airplane mode when you go down there. Enjoy!

Definitely a tour you would want to do, Its so informative about the history of the Ridge, mining in general and some great story's to be told including stories about the owner, about the carvings in the mine he has produced, its hands on and you get to hold some opals and learn differences between the opal...Its a really cool super informative tour that's well worth doing.

The underground sculptures are truely amazing. We weren't sure we wanted to spend the money to go, as the kids didnt really fancy going (8 & 10), however, It was worth every dollar! We all loved it! I could have spent hours there taking it all in. Such a unique experience. I'm looking forward to going back again one day.Everyone working there were really lovely and friendly. 5 stars

incredible attraction a must. Just be aware approx 60 steps to get to the chamber but worth every step.No caustrophobic white sandstone, high ceilings. 15 minute outstanding brief then a much time as u like ro explore. 40 minutes to 1hr. cost $45
