Maggi does a fabulous job with color, cut and drying. I have never been disappointed with the finished look. Her prices are also very reasonable.

I have been seeing Maggie for years now and she has always done an amazing job with my cut and colour. I wouldn’t see anyone else. Highly recommend.

The lady (owner) who served me was very polite, firm and friendly. It was indeed a pleasant experience to be offered a professional customer service during haircut. The location of the shop is very convenient as its in the CBD and I don’t have to walk far from my accommodation. She charged me an affordable rate for haircut, beard trimming and even offered free shampoo for washing afterwards as a form of complement. Probably, she did this because I was her last customer for the day and also it was my first time at the shop. I strongly recommend this business to anyone out there.

I wanted a simple cut and style but she was unable to even do that correctly. My hair was cut way too short and I was extreanly unhappy. From the uncomfortable hair washing station to the rude service I was extreamly unpleased leaving the salon. I also felt insulted several times throughout my haircut. I was told my hair was bad and looked terrible. I left with lower self esteem and without my long locks I had little confidence. I would not come here, especially if you are younger. Go somewhere with younger hairdressers who understand the newest trends and do what you ask not what they think is best regardless of what you want. Good luck ❤️

I don't know the ladies name, however, I have been happy with her 8 or 9 haircuts. I pay $28 and this includes a wash.I have read the other reviews and think they a little unfair and clearly personal more than professional.The owner is a mature lady with many years experience. Her service is average with nothing outstanding. I prefer this type of service than paying $55 for a similar end result.Maggie (I believe that is her name based on the other reviews - sad that I don't know her name, she never mentioned it, nor did she ask my name). So if you want an average haircut, at super great value with no frills...this is the place to go.

I had been going to get my hair done by Maggie for many years and the first time she messed up my hair she didn't leave the dye in long enough so I had to return to the salon to get it done again. She bought me a eye shadow pallet to say sorry and redid my hair. This time she put big thick streaks in my hair when I explained I wanted smooth natural highlights coming out the bottom. I walked out on a Saturday afternoon having an event to go to so I was in a rush.The foils she put in my hair which 'started from the top' were about 3 cm away from my head. And to make things worse they were all at the front so i can not even put my hair up because I am to embarrassed.When I called her to speak to her about it she hung up on me. Then when I went in to the salon to show her my hair. She started abusing me and insulting me with personal remarks. Calling me a liar and saying she'd call the police if I didn't leave. I left in tears and my hair is ruined.... I will never go back and I strongly recommend NOT going there to get your hair done. Unless you like getting abused when the hairdresser makes a mistake

NuCut was a fantastic find when I relocated to Canberra. Maggie has years of experience with colour, foils and cut. I now attend every 3 weeks and wouldn’t go anywhere else. This is the most reasonably priced salon in the area.

I got the worst brassy color and bellow average highlights with this mature lady hairdresser. The owner works alone (has no staff) and overbooks so she left me 2h 45min with bleach because she had no staff to wash me and she was bussy with other clients. She ruined my hair. Told me she used OLAPLEX but my hair was so dried out and frizzy that I doubt it. Also, i wanted curtain" fringe and she cut mine straight. She had no idea how to give me long layers

Asked for a haircut with layers. Walked out looking a lot worse before I walked in. She gave me so many layers it now looks like I have no hair, I would have thought a hairdresser with decades of experience would know not to cut too many layers to thin hair but apparently not. If you have curly hair don't use this hairdresser. She only knows how to give a decent concave and only if she feels like giving a decent one on the day you walk in. I have been looking for a decent hairdresser who knows how to cut curly hair in Canberra for a few years now, unfortunately I am still looking. To all the curly haired females don't go to this hairdresser, curly hair needs to be cut a certain way and each hair is different, this hairdresser isn't talented with that skill. Unable to provide no stars as it doesn't let me post, she gets no star from me.

I have been attending this hair salon for a few years now. I have had many haircuts and hair colours. Maggie is very competent at providing both. I have watched her do many hair cuts for people of all ages and hair types. She can do very modern as well as traditional cuts! I think people always walk out looking (and I expect feeling) a lot better after attending Maggie's salon. I certainly do. Lately, Maggie has been using organic hair colour and I am so happy with it, I will stave off going grey for a few more years! Maggie also knows what will suit you - I now leave the hair cut and colour decision-making to Maggie and instead just relax and enjoy knowing I am in for a treat!
