My wedding wouldn’t have been the same without these guys. My wife and I were so happy we chose them. I called them initially to ask a few questions about their setup and had a couple of special requests for my wedding. They answered all my questions and nothing was a drama for them. I paid the deposit and was assigned a DJ, who I was able to contact up until the wedding day. He was very pleasant to deal with! It was cool to have a playlist which was mostly custom. These guys made lots of suggestions for songs at key moments in my wedding reception as well. Clearly they have lots of experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer these guys to my family and friends.

These guys did a great job with music at my birthday recently. As they say, they only needed a powerpoint! They provide all their own equipment which was awesome not having that as an extra cost. Literally everything was included. The DJ arrived early, well dressed, super friendly, set up his table and speakers and decks, then played a full 5-hour set for us all. He took requests from all my mates, which was hugely commendable, mixing them into the set. He brought a colourful dancefloor light and a microphone for the speeches too. It always makes me happy when a business makes everything included and easy. Additionally, before the party, they worked with me to completely customise a great playlist that suited me. I was able to build the playlist myself and create how I wanted the dance floor to sound, then the DJ was happy to mix all the music I suggested to them. This was a birthday I’ll never forget. Super easy and chilled to deal with these guys. I highly rate them.

These guys are exceptional because of the flexibility you get with preparing music for your night. They really join forces with you. They said I could entirely choose what I wanted played for the whole night, or they could read the room, or we could collaborate. In the end I gave them a guide of the kind of music I wanted on my dance floor and they absolutely nailed it. They added hours more similar music to what I suggested and it was ingenious. I booked them for my 30th and was blown away with how communicative, helpful & thoughtful they were. I’ll only be using their DJ’s in the future.

I booked Your Local DJ for my friends Hen’s Night, which was a boat cruise of Sydney Harbour. They were totally fine with setting up and packing down on the boat. Didn’t charge us anything extra for the inconvenience. They spoke with the boat company and just made it happen! So considerate of them. There was a group of us girls singing and dancing all night on the boat. It was so much fun. The DJ was super personable and fun to chat with and request songs. We opted to let our DJ ‘read the room’ for the whole night with music - and he did not disappoint!!! Heaps of oldschool Aussie bangers, newer pop charts music, rap, hip hop, R&B, House, Electro, Motown, everything! The music was so versatile and just made the night for me and my friends. I’ll be booking you for my next birthday.

We hired Your Local Dj for our wedding last year and they exceeded all our expectations! They brought an awesome vibe, chose the best music for our scene and was so friendly to all our guests. Probably the most easy going, professional and helpful DJ hire business on earth. I was really happy with the customer service, the care given to my questions, the quality and standard of their equipment and the performance on the night. My DJ arrived an hour early, set up and sound checked, asked if I had any additions to the playlist & then started mixing everything I asked for, right on time. Without a doubt these guys are very much distinguished at what they do. My party was in good hands all night and I recommend your local DJ to anyone thinking of booking them.

Your local DJ is a very professional and accomodating company that will go the extra mile to make sure you have the best time!! They offer a great deal for the service they provide; with the amount of time and energy they put into catering the entertainment, all of their own equipment and products and are always willing to take requests.Fantastic!! My wedding reception was so memorable because of the guys at Your Local DJ. Sharp sound quality. Attentive DJ. Noteworthy song selection. Couldn’t fault them! I was assigned a DJ, months before my wedding and we collaborated on the music for canapés, dinner, dance floor, first dance, exit song, all the things!
