It might be the bakery's style but we prefer a bit less dry/crispy pastry. Nevertheless, the almond croissant, special pastry, and cinnamon scroll were really nice. The fresh cream filling in the special pastry is very refreshing.

Amazing varieties of pastries with decent choice. Simple decor with seating adjacent to the store. Taste profile quite similar to the one across the road. Acceptable coffee. Overall Price point on the higher side.Next to try their sourdough bread.

The caramel tart was actually ridiculous. The shell looks thick but it was super crumbly and light. The custard tart less inpressive. Quite watery between the custard and pastry but a nice flavour.

I recently moved back to Brisbane after spending the last 8 years in Sydney and was in search of some good pastries locally. Sprout doesn’t disappoint! definitely our go to when we’re in the area. Their savory items are also a must try.

The bakery has a huge variety of pastries and honestly it was hard to choose as they look tasty. Bought five different ones to try:- Coffee scroll had a strong coffee flavour with some candied hazelnut topping and praline filling, tasty but a little dry- Strawberry danish was filled with strawberry cream, jam and custard which was not too sweet, was expecting a little bit more flakiness outside- Caprese sandwich worked well with the crispy croissant, creamy buffalo mozzarella and juicy tomato- Breakfast bun had a whole egg in it, some ham, tomato and cheese; quite satisfying especially if you warm it. Pastry was not that flaky- Lemon meringue pastry was nice and flaky but the lemon curd was too sour, couldn't really enjoy it as wholeOverall the pastries were pretty good but on the expensive side; some were not as flaky as it looked. A bit of a miss for the lemon meringue pastry.

Freindly staff, good coffee and nice selection of sweet and savoury treats. Couldn't decide what to have, so bought eight items. All creative, generously portioned, well balanced and flavoursome.

The bread is some of the best I've had, and the pastries are excellent. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Basically this place is quite good and it provides delicious pastry and excel in both savoury and sweet. Also they open early in the morning so you can grab them while they’re hot and fresh from the oven.Very recommended to bring along guesses from those outside Brisbane or your family members.Will come back for more pastries!

Simply amazing bakes. The salted caramel chocolate tart was to die for. Deep earthy flavours and not too sweet! The cardamom Custard swirl was divine as well and reminded me of something similar I had in Copenhagen. The pumpkin pie was also deliciously savory and had plenty of filling. What a gem and thanks for the amazing bakes!

Will give it more than 5 stars if I can :)so far the best bakery I have visited in Brisbane (refer to my other reviews). They made the best croissant on James st and the apple danish with the custard cream underneath is so good. Everything looks so yum and well presented I definitely have a difficulty to pick when I enter the shop.Highly recommended!!
