White Cedar Park
If you are looking for a place to spend an afternoon with your kids in the green, this is a great place. Nothing really exciting but a huge field of grass and a little creek allow for your little ones to go exploring in a wonderful and safe environment while you take a rest. Lots of birds to see and hear as well, easy access via the 31.

A lovely alternative to Red Cedar park which was closed when we went. Shaded tables, wood bbqs (take your own firewood) and big green space for a game of cricket, bocci or footy after lunch. The shallow creek was flowing beautifully with clear water and was a fun place for the kids to rock hop and wade in. Toilets were well maintained and hand wall pump soap.

This park is closed. The other near by one called Red cedar is open but they only mow part of the grass area now and grills had been permanently removed from wood fire bbqs...

Good place to stopby ir even have a picnic. Facilities of toilets, two big undercover areas with wood fired BBQ.

Cool escape from the heat of the day. Limited parking so be sure to carpool if coming in a group. Water is shallow so great for younger children. Lots to explore along the creek bed.

A perfect place for sitting and having a snack or read a book. Plenty of flat area around for kids to run and if you are lucky after good rains you will be next to a stream running along. Other times it is dry.

A nice park for a picnic that doesn't get a lot of visitors like maiala on top of the mountain. Lots of covered tables, space to kick a football, water and toilets. Gets a little road noise but otherwise a great lunch stop.
