The Picnic Portal

We had the most beautiful table platter set up for our art event in Byron Bay by The Picnic Portal. It was a very impressive display crammed full of delicious, fresh local produce and botanicals. We had more comments about the platter than we did about the art! Hehe - can't recommend them enough!

Would definitely recommend The Picnic Portal for anyone who is wanting to make an occasion extra special! We were staying near Byron for a Hens and Prue came and set up a stunning picnic for us which really started our day off in such a lovely way! Everyone LOVED it :) And the addition of vegan cashew cheese was a hit! 10/10! x

Absolutely amazing hospitality and service from Heidi, she was very prompt with communication and the picnic setup was simply stunning. We celebrated our proposal with her picnic package and we would happily book again. Thank you Heidi!

We used the Picnic Portal for a pre-wedding picnic in Byron for 40 people. Heidi was so lovely to work with to organise, made the whole day so easy for us, and created SUCH a beautiful space and picnic spread. From picnic rugs, umbrellas, games, to the absolutely delicious, beautifully displayed (and plentiful) food. Our guests are still talking about it! Would highly recommend if you are looking to host a gourmet picnic in Byron or beyond.

Nothing beats a picnic platter in Byron Bay! Prue found us the perfect, private location with the most breathtaking view - overlooking the rolling green hills in the hinterland and provided us with an amazing platter (that looked way too good to eat) a music speaker, a styled picnic set up AND came back to pack down at the end. What a dream!

I was blessed to be invited to a birthday celebration that was catered for by @thepicnicportal.They did not only provide catering of the most delicious food, but they provided the aesthetics and comfort, and the ambience so the mood was set.From the moment I arrived I could see from a distance the most beautiful inviting scene of three gorgeous umbrellas, picnic rugs, cushions, flowers, napkins and such colourful fresh food. Already the vibe had started as it was a welcoming scene. I felt comfortable and safe to try all the food that was spread out throughout the picnic area and wow was it delicious. During the celebrations I loved how their was a group of men(part of the celebration) standing away from where the food was. Heidi made a effort that was seamless to create another platter of food and space for them to continue their conversation.It was one of the loveliest celebrations I have attended and I can't help but think the set up, food and vibe set up by The Picnic Portal was a main addition to its success.Due to COVID the plans changed at the last minute The Picnic Portal was able to pivot with professionalism and ease and provided a space that was just as perfect if not better than the original plans.Thank you The picnic Portal I came home with a full belly and even fuller a heart.

Heidi created such a beautiful spread for my daughter’s 16th. Every detail was well thought of including the perfect beach setting with gorgeous rugs and cushions.The food looked amazing with so much variety to cater for all 17 girls.I can’t recommend the picnic portal enough for a hassle free (no clean up) special birthday gathering.

Prue was fabulous from start to end! Great communication, easy booking process and super flexible. I was beyond happy with the presentation, the food was fresh and good quality, the hire equipment in perfect condition. I was pleasantly surprised with the cost of everything and that raw chocolate and raspberry cake - wow!!I need an excuse to go back and use her services again!

Heidi and the team were FABULOUS !!! They were so accommodating to our requests and flexible on the day when the weather decided to throw plans into chaos. Most importantly the food was incredible quality & the platter was so beautifully presented. Setup and pack down was super quick too. I cannot recommend enough & would most definitely use The Picnic Portal again <3
