SAS Smash Repairs

Before I begin, I just want you to know this a genuine review, I knew nothing of SAS until I googled repair shops near me and found them. I had a great experience with SAS Smash Repairs. Ewan and the staff kept me up to date, did an amazing job with my repairs and returned my car in immaculate condition. Not only were the repairs (I was sideswiped and required new side mirror, body work and painting) absolutely 'A' grade, but the extra care and communication was amazing and not really experienced anywhere else these days. The car came back cleaned and shining, much better than I dropped it off!!! Thank you Ewan and gang, and to anyone that needs repairs, I cannot recommend SAS highly enough.

Had a former car of ours repaired here a couple years ago on a short list of local preferred insurance repairers. The car was needing some cosmetic scuff repair to the rear corner/bumper work and respray.For anyone who knows Subaru Satin White Pearl (metallic white pearl) paint, it's not easy to work with when blending and matching to the rest of the car.These guys are artists of their trade. It was perfectly colour matched and blended into the surrounding panels, even down to matching the clear coat shine.We now have another satin white pearl car needing some correction from a previous blending attempt in it's past life, will be booking it in when we can with SAS to work their magic!

I was involved in a car crash with my Toyota Supra and it was towed to SAS smash repairs on 06/02/19 for them to assess the damage and get it quoted for the insurance claim. A couple of days later I called them to follow up on everything and talked to Ewan, and he told me that they had pulled the car apart and they found that there was structural damage and rust which was pre-existing and could compromise the claim. He also told me that they aren't able to source the parts needed for my car because it has an aftermarket bodykit, and are unable to source parts from private sellers (to cover their butt). The only option was for them to provide a quote and for me to recieve a cash settlement of the amount and source my own parts and labour with that money. SAS finally quoted me $2,716.17 for the repairs and paint, no labour. Please tell me how you can quote parts that you supposedly were unable to find, and who would I be getting to install the parts and paint my car? When I did my own research into where I would source the parts and how much everything would cost including paint and labour it came to $3,724.01.After I got my quote together I called SAS to see if I could get my car or at least get it towed to my house, because there's no point of it being there anymore if they weren't working on it. I was on the phone to Ewan and I said that the quote wasn't enough, he became defensive and said it's so low because we quoted for second hand parts" - which makes no sense because they said they couldn't use private sellers and even I was unable to find second hand parts because they're uncommon. Then he said I couldn't take the car and had to ask for permission from the insurance company - which again makes no sense because you cannot withhold my car when I am not at fault for the accident

Above and beyond! SAS Smash Repairs were amazing when we had our truck in for repairs recently. From the quick quote by Ewan and many questions answered for me, to the panel beaters being friendly and accommodating to more questions asked, and to Rochelle and Ang in the office who kept me up to date on repairs and time frames for completion. I could not have asked for better service all round. As I understand this business has been around a very long time, and many more to come by the service we received. Thanx again SAS Smash

Went to try and get a quote to give to the driver at fault in my accident so she can either pay or give me her insurance details. These guys Refused to give me a quote because I MIGHT not get the work done there and they were to busy to be bothered. I thought this was incredibly rude as I WAS planning on giving them my business, but not after that rude encounter.

SAS Smash Repairs amazes me from day one. I had a minor car accident that needs to replace a new bumper. I was away in overseas. I told SAS if they can get my car fixed on time so I don't have to request for a rental car. They kept me posted steps by step the whole processed of my car conditions while I was in overseas. I didn't have to ring them or worry about my car at all. They listened to your needs and request. The service is beyond words. I definately recommend them to anyone. I give you a 7 Stars rating. I wish there are more companys who can provide good services in Newcastle like SAS .

SAS handled the insurance claim on our car. The car was assessed and we were kept informed at least twice a week, including with delays on parts (a widespread problem in these times). Once the car was ready, we found a flawless repair and the car spotlessly clean. They are very busy but good businesses will always be.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish! From the girls in the office, to the boys fixing my car. I could not have received better service! I was constantly kept informed throughout the whole process and my car was repaired perfectly within the time I was given. Finally, a business that takes pride in its service! Thank you!!!

So impressed with the service from SAS Smash Repairs, the office staff were so helpful and courteous, keeping me up to date with the progress of the repairs. My car was repaired flawlessly and returned to me in an immaculate condition inside and out. Cannot fault them at all!
