Blanch’s Bus Company - Ballina Depot

No regard for children’s safety on the school buses. Always late and staff are just so rude. No response to phone calls or emails.

Great bus service! I had a great experience with Blanch’s bus service whilst staying in Byron Bay without a hired car. I used it several times and it always came exactly on time (apart from once when it was only 5 minutes late). The drivers are super friendly, prices are reasonable and the buses themselves are clean. It was only $4.50 to get from Ballina airport to Byron Bay which is so much cheaper than a shuttle bus! The airport stop is right outside the airport to the left.

Best bus trip I've had in ages. The bus driver knew the locals and treated everyone so well. He played the best music ever. HAIL to the bus driver, the bus driver man.

Terrible service. Supposed to be 20 min shuttle busses to Bluesfest every 20 mins. We have been waiting nearly 2 hours. Not one has passed. Could not run a bath! Called the helpline, they did not have a clue.

Was having a rough day, turned up to bus with no cash and the driver allowed me and my family an IOU" until I could find an ATM

I got on the bus, asked for a ticket as nice as I could, I had troubles unzipping my wallet as my hands were full, the bus driver I had rolled his eyes because I was taking so long (being visibly angry like extremely obvious) I took my ticket, while I was putting it in my bag he rolled his eyes at me again and threw the money on the ground so I had to pick it up myself, while I was picking it up he started driving off. I will NEVER catch a bus from this service ever again. And I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Bus never showed up ended up getting an Uber after waiting 30 mins. We could see one parked across the road doing nothing but refused to take us! Very unhelpful over the phone.

Shout out to the lovely bus driver who took my friend and I from Mullum to Byron at midday. A woman asked him a non sensical question and he took the time to patiently get to what she was actually asking, being calm and kind even while she was being quite rude to him.We got him on the way back and as I was paying, he pointed out that if I still had my receipt from earlier, I was entitled to get on for free.Doncha love that?So I'd be giving the Bus Driver five stars. This review only has four stars because buses only run during the day...people going to eateries and pubs are more likely to drive home over the alcohol limit when they would have caught a bus if there was one.... and Sunday only offers two trips all day.

The bus is CASH only but can handle change. So be prepared. Bus was very clean and driver was courteous. Recommended if there is no car between Ballina and Byron Bay.

You wait for a bus which is 30 mins delayed and when he gets here, the driver tells you “cash only”. No Opal card, no credit card options, cash only… What age are we living in? Nowhere on the street signs does it say “cash only”. This is tax evasion at its finest! Avoid this company at all costs.
