I love this sawmill. We were travelling around Tasmania and this place was a highlight of our holiday in Tasmania. The smell of Huon Pine is incredible xWe will be back to visit the sawmill again when we come back to Tasmania sometime in the future.Great helpful staff x

An old sawmill in the area owned by the four generations. A free entry and a guide talk about Huon Pine and the history of mill and area. The mill has a great gift shop wtso many wonderful gifts ideas suitable for all pockets. A must visit and if possible do your shopping of gifts from here, based on my experience you won't find better value for money anywhere else from Port Arthur to Davenport.

This is a combination of a learning center, sawmill, and store, with talks and demonstrations about Huon pine and all the local varieties of wood. It's informative even if you don't attend one of their presentations. A must-do for anyone interested in local wood or its history.

Great customer service and fantastic prices. I chose couple of pieces of wood and the lovely gentleman cut it to my specified length for free.they also had a big range of already cut raw wood and polished huon pine pieces such as chopping boards, coasters, cheese platters, kitchen utensils etc. the places smells great. I love huon pine and every time I come to Tasmania, I buy the pines for me and gifts. It is such a unique wood.

A very traditional sawmill and there is some educational lessons at selected timings. They produce very nicely crafted wood pieces but the prices are on the high side. They looked great for gifts.
