Quick Fit Engine Service

I chose Quick Fit because they quoted a 4 to 5 day turn around, indicating they had an engine in stock ready to go. Their quote was significantly higher than others I had but needed my car going for a road trip planned that I really didn't want to cancel.The rebuild ended up taking nearly 5 WEEKS! This is twice as long as cheaper quotes had indicated and I had to cancel my trip anyway. Quick fit offered no discount and were completely nonchalant about the situation, as though taking 7 times as long as quoted was something that just happens regularly there. Their excuse was the rebuilt engine was dropped during transport rendering it unusable so they had to rebuild mine! I asked to see a photo or insurance claim for the dropped engine but they couldn't produce one. I believe I was lured in by a promise of quick turnaround but they never even had an engine ready to go. Don't be fooled yourself.On top of this, one of the heater hose clamps was not done up at all so it's lucky my engine didn't cook again driving it home. In addition, they had reused several stock spring clips instead of the threaded after marked units I was charged for on other hoses. They rectified this but really? What else was reused that should have been replaced when they are reusing a couple of dollars worth of clamps!Also, they tried to charge me $280 for a plastic heater tap that I ended up sourcing for 25 dollars! This is after they told me I'd be getting 'trade' rates on any additional parts I needed like they were doing me a favour!? Same situation with leads, drive belts, radiator, etc. Plus $180 to clean 4 injectors that were already removed (rebuilding engine) when other places charge $15 to $30 each for this. It's shops like this that give mechanics a bad name.Take your car somewhere else.

Probably the worst tradesmen I have ever dealt with in my life. Firstly I asked for a total cost once the engine was dismantled they told me I need a new radiator and other parts which made their price a lot higher then my usual mechanic. Once the engine was rebuilt had nothing but troubles with the third injector being intermittent I had to diagnose he problem myself it was a dodge connector a $20 part and I had to have it repaired elsewhere. To their credit they took the cost off the next service but the damage was done. I had to rebuild the engine again after 60,000 km because the lack of diesel to the third pot had caused damage to the bore. Be careful letting these guys work on your car.

My Toyota SUV had overheated due to the wrong coolant in the cooling system. I had phoned several businesses for a solution. Weighing up conflicting advice was confusing. Eventually I called Quickfit. Stephen the owner, explained the process in detail and all the upfront costs. I felt immediately as ease, the information was clear and concise. Quickfit called me with regular updates as promised. A week later the vehicle was ready to pick up, it was spotless, the engine was pristine. I don’t take my car to anyone else. Stephen and his team are conscientious and polite, I trust them implicitly. The level of service always far exceeds my expectations. This is one very happy customer.

They rebuilt my engine, I followed their instructions and have had 0 problems. They're prompt, courteous, kind and ethical. I'm a woman and I've always felt comfortable coming here for advice. If you're feeling short of money and part of your job can be avoided for now to make it cheaper they'll help you work something out. They're training young men and the owner is respectful and poised.

Having your engine rebuilt is a big commitment and you want to ensure you find the best business for this job. I can highly recommend this company for their professional skills, exceptional attention to detail and excellent communications. I am completely happy with the excellent job they did on my Navara D40.

Very happy with work and great customer service. I turned up late on a Friday afternoon and the owner took the time to help with my engine even though they were busy. He provided great advice and fitted parts while I waited. Will definitely be returning as a customer. Highly recommended.

I would thoroughly recommend Quick Fit.A friendly and highly professional team. Wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. A clear explanation of the problem and a realistic quote. I was regularly kept updated and Work was completed in good time. I would not go anywhere else.

Had my Toyota hilux fitted with one of there engines.Followed there run in rules to the letterTook it to my mechanic they reported back that the motor was really good ,couldn’t fault it.Hilux is still running wellI recommend there workmanshipThere time management is another thingAt least you know there not rushing the job.

Check this out for an invoice. I agreed to pay $500 for an engine diagnosis and this is what I get back. I asked for a more detailed description and Steve (the owner im presuming) said the more questions I ask the more I'm getting charged. Not only did I get threatened for asking basic questions (illegal) I also got scammed $500 out of pocket. If i didn't pay I wasn't getting my car key back. Just to top it off the key to the car no longer works. Save your money and go elsewhere. This guy will try and screw you for money. And before Steve replies saying this is a fake review, check details on the invoice attached. Thats his abn and company info.

Quick Fit has always been professional and patient when dealing with me. The 'comfort' I now have in leaving my mechanical needs in their hands is total. They have been let down by those have supplied services/engines to them but they have always been spot on and that is sooo important for me to have a vehicle that can handle severe off road conditions in the most isolated parts of Aus.
