We walked in for lunch on Saturday and there was ample seating available at Spice by Billus’s. All the neighbouring restaurants had people lining up to be seated. We found our experience very underwhelming and disappointing. The decent dish we ate was the papdi chaat. Unfortunately it went quite downhill from there. The tandoori platter was terrible. The worst part was the chicken which had absolutely no flavour whatsoever and tasted old. The lamb had no flavour either. The prawns were ok. The butter chicken tasted like a supermarket curry. The portion size was also tiny. The lacha paratha was good.Overall very disappointing. The staff especially the manager in the suit looked like they’d rather have been anywhere else but there. Won’t rush back.

We are a family of 4 and we had dinner here on Easter Sunday. The restaurant was buzzing with people. The staff were first class, especially restaurant manager, Lucky. The food was exceptional. You must try the Curry goat and the fish - it's to die for. Thank you so much team 'Spiced@Barangaroo.' Will definitely come again. Awesome!!!

Firstly the staff are super friendly. The samosa was the standout of the meal and recommended. We had chicken tikka masala and lamb saag which were both somewhat underwhelming.

The booking experience was straight forward and our table was ready when we got there. The food was delicious and customer service was great. The staff were attentive to our order. The ambience was pretty good. It was our anniversary dinner, I did expect a better table location given that we were asked for the reason for the visit at the time of booking (i.e. birthday, anniversary etc). That's only a minor thing, we still had a good time and enjoyed the food immensely. Won't mind visiting again.

Vivid on a friday full of humans was starting to feel like a nightmare UNTIL we found this place.Unlike most of the options in the area it was nice to see it wasn't ridiculously priced so definitely giving points for that.Veg options available also great since we walked the whole night looking for foooood (and I'm cranky when I'm hungry, actually aren't we all?)Would come back.

Just 'OK'. The food isn't that great as expected. We ordered a starter and looked at the quality, and cancelled ordering the main course. Oil kept dripping off the onion pakoda. We went there with high expectations. I felt that a bit over marketing is done through social media. The owners can focus more on food quality and taste.

I've tried both the other main 2 casual dining Indian restaurants in the Sydney CBD and went to Spice with high expectations. I would say it wasn't great mainly because of the food.We reached the place around 12.30 pm on a Saturday and the place was almost empty. We sort of liked it because we can eat peacefully. The manager and the girl who provided the service were average. There was no extra effort to make a nice greeting or some guidance on the menu. Just average. They showed us the table which was nice and cleanly arranged. The menu was simple and short. I liked this. There were only 2 pages but they had so many varieties. The menu has been organized nicely. We ordered a seafood platter, a goat biriyani, cheese, and garlic naan, butter chicken, a veggie curry, an onion salad, and a bowl of steamed rice. The fish on the seafood platter was not fresh. Looked like they fried it on an earlier day. Please don't do this if you are doing it. Prawns and Calamari were nice.Butter chicken and the veggie curry were the best. They were so good and full of flavor. Naans were not so fluffy, and the onion salad was nothing but an onion cut in rings. They had even forgotten to remove the root head.Goat biriyani wasn't so great either. It was garnished with Almond slices which added some different texture. But I wish the biriyani itself had some flavor. The vibes and cleanness were great. Service was average and they can definitely do better. Food is the main point for improvement I guess.Hopefully, these will get addressed when we return.Good luck with everything.

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming (straight water front view) and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. I went their on Sunday, along with three other friends, it wasn't too busy, and we ended up spending about 5 hours. We were recommended the banquet option with drinks, which settled in place very well. We were offered happy hour drinks at 3 pm, which was icing on cake. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. I wasn't sure what red wine to choose and I could clearly tell the guy who recommended the wine knew what he was talking. My recommendation in mains will be Lamb Rogan Josh". Later that evening the staff offered us dinner as well

The food used to be amazing. We've visited many times since 2018, but it seems like the quality and taste has gone down hill recently, and price have gone up drastically. All the curry's taste very bland. Most local Indian takeway shops do much better. The server mentioned that they've changed chefs. Don't waste your money. There are much better and cheaper options in the city. So dissapointing.

Another great night at Spiced.Been here a few times now with our curry club and different groups of mates and can’t really fault it. Service is great and the food is fresh as you can taste the flavours in all the dishes.Given its location its bloody good value too, especially the set menu! Thanks again guys.
