New owners and staff are so much nicer to deal with. Staff very friendly and helpful when choosing books for my daughter's birthday. Prices are reasonable too. It would be nice to have a bigger selection, but understand your working with limited space.

Excellent bookstore - I visit each time im down visiting family. They will order in a book for you if they dont have it in stock, but they have all the current and well know titles. They recently had a puzzle of the island available which was a lot of fun and made a great gift.

I don't shop here nearly as often as I did when I lived nearby. Nevertheless when I dropped in recently after some years away from the Island I found the same wonderful atmosphere, range of books, and still the best service as ever.This book shop rates well in the top tier of independent book shops and the local community is lucky to have it.

Lovely bookshop, with friendly and helpful staff. Great selection, including new releases, wide variety of children’s books, and Phillip Island related literature. My 6 year old son and I look forward to browsing here whenever we are in Cowes.

Great store with an excellent selection of books and a cute little reading area. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable and you can always find a bargain on their discounted books table. There is also an option to sign up for membership to receive discounts.

Great bookshop. I buy 10 to 20 novels here each Christmas. This year I accidentally bought my daughter the same one 2 years running. They were really happy to do an exchange.

Great selection of books. Staff extremely helpful and happy to order an item they may not have. Discount for loyal customers. Sit on the comfy in-store sofa and browse through a book. Good kids' section. This is one of my favourite island shops and can highly recommend a visit.

The staff were very nice and Helped me choose the perfect Book. =D. I just went yesterday for the day with my family. Best Bookshop I have ever been to.

I’m sorry to have to say that I was treated appallingly by the owner of this establishment during my recent holiday to Phillip Island - a great shame as I was otherwise quite taken by the kindness and warmth of the local business operators. I was in the store reading some children’s books to my two young daughters while my wife browsed the shelves. Whilst reading our second book my girls and I were interrupted by this man who told me that my being there, reading the books for ‘half an hour’ (again, this was our second book -Bluey books, to be precise- we certainly hadn’t been there for anything close to half an hour) ‘wasn’t working’ for him and that I had to either buy something or get out, at which point he took the book out of my hands. I was too stunned to say anything, but the pained cries of my three-year-old as she howled at the top of her lungs, ‘but I want to read!’, while I consoled her in my arms sufficiently captured the absurd cruelty of the moment. Needless to say, the expensive gardening book that my wife was considering buying turned into a non-sale for them. This may just be my opinion but I feel that any bookshop owner with this kind of negative attitude to the enjoyment of reading (particularly in regards to children), not to mention such grossly misguided customer service skills deserves to fail in business. One star for the lovely sales assistant, for whom I feel greatly sorry.
