Great service, we had the 1.4kg tomahawk steak between 3 people. MUST TRY! The steak was very well cooked and came with 4 sauces. Sauces could do with a bit more variety or choice, something with mushroom perhaps? Decent wine selection, the portion size of the fried squid dish was lacking. Overall a good experience and will be back to try the other steaks.

Warm cosy pub. Welcoming bar staff. We were a little underwhelmed by the cocktail list and asked if the bartender could make us an amaretto sour. He said he was more than happy to do so if we found the recipe that we liked, but sadly they didn't have the ingredients.Keen to try the food offers next time.

Nice quiet pub off the main streets of South Melbourne. Enjoyed the ambience outside and the historical feel inside. Food and cocktails were good. Really enjoyed the three cheese croquettes. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Didn’t realise the salad leaves would be so bitter even though the menu did mention it, so I put the leaves to the side. I love beetroot so I still enjoyed it.

It's a nice place. Sitting by the fire on a rainy night. Service was good and attentive.Food however was a let down. Bland and uninspiring. The steak was the only exception.Desserts where terrible. Cream brulee had the texture of cottage cheese, asked for a replacement but apparently the whole batch was like that. Chocolate tart was average too.Disappointed because we had higher expectations.

service was nice but my pasta dish (seafood linguine) was not good. ended up leaving 80% of it on the plate. super strong fishy taste and smell... did not smell or taste fresh. cocktail was decent.

Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely bar people who knew their drinks.. had dinner and Lachie (lauchlan?) looked after us. 6 of us ate. Good food but the salads needed something more. I found the beetroot Salad too salty. Check the pics.

Nice bar and restaurant in the neighborhood. Some oysters had slight fishy taste to it. Overall, soft and plump. Fish and chips was delicious. Batter was just enough thickness, fish was fresh. Hostess were attentive. The lack of one star was just the oysters. Will recommend to visit for sure.

Lovely discovery today walking in SouthMelbourne.Beautiful sunny day so sat outside this lovely old pub.Ordered the lamb belly and hand cut chips and both were wonderful.All the meals coming out also looked delicious.Inside the pub was lovely too. Will definitely eat here again
