First room I was allocated neither the aircon nor hot water tap were working. Staff were extremely helpful in moving me to another room.Paint peeling off the walls in both rooms.Very expensive for the offering.Restaurant and bar however were 4*.

The Hotel Canobolas
Just came back from a weekend up in Orange for the F.O.O.D festival and we stayed two nights at the Hotel Canobolas. Great location and central to everything so easy for dinners/breakfasts out etc. Overall the rooms were spacious and clean and bathrooms the same. There were some weird pump/generator noises throughout the night but got used to that fairly quickly. No complaints at all and would definitely stay here again if in the area. We ate/drank down at the put one night and it was great..great staff/food/drinks..again, no complaints at all!

The staff are polite and friendly in this Orange institution. Whilst the bistro is a little noisy the vibe is friendly and good menu choices. Whilst the room was clean sleep was disturbed by the air conditioning units cutting in and out and a strong smell of smoke from the wood fired pizza permeating the room. Centrally positioned and lovely view of the park from the front bar. Looking forward to returning when the top bar répond after refurbishment. Value for money.

I had a couple of drinks at the pub. I think they are stealing from thier customers. I drink wine and the glasses were consistently being poured short. I spoke to one waiter and he topped it up to the line, the next drink the waitress poured it short and I questioned it and she said a standard pour was below the line. Unbelievable!Check your pour if you visit this establishment.

Comfortable, good location in town. Food great value and tasty, good selection of beers and wines. Able to store our bikes, etc in secure area, exceptional

Had dinner here in a large group. Our food arrived and was great. Unfortunately, some of our group had to remind them over an hour after ordering. They were very apologetic.

Great pub. Excellent food. Limited choice of wines by the glass but the shiraz was very good. Sitting outside was our preference but too many people smoking at the tables or next to them. I thought smokers had to be at least 4m from the entrance? They ruin it for everyone.

Quick bite… lunch specials available.This visit had woodfired pizza.Well and truly cooked well and so nice… paid $16 each on special… normally $22 per large pizza.BBQ Meat Lovers and Supreme… definitely recommended.Staff are so cheerful and helpful… the place is well set up… well lit areas, both indoor and outdoor areas available.Impressed how clean the place is and great food options on the menu.Very reasonable price range… even the choice steaks selection.
