Julian and Jane have created a relaxing b&b experience. Arriving with friends, we were warmly welcomed and everything was just easy, enjoyable and friendly. Everything from the cooked breakfast, the warm fires, the complementary wine, port and cheese platter, the soft bed and pillows was great. And when we needed dinner advice, Julians recommendations were spot on.Abbortford is perfect for couples and friends needing a break from the hustle of city life. Thanks again. Looking forward to returning soon.

Beautiful spacious period Suites. Very generous extras such as port wine and cheese and crackers that are complimentary. Linen super. We were a little anxious about no TV but found we had no real need for it. It’s easy to fill a day in the Valley. Food prepared by Jane absolutely delicious. Julian and Jane are excellent friendly knowledgeable hosts. Loved staying here taxis easily available to go to dinner. Sinéad

Just recently for my partners 70th birthday we stayed for two nights at an absolute gem in Abbotsford Country House in the beautiful Barossa Valley.Our gracious and beautiful hosts Jane and Julian what a gorgeous pair with impeccable PR skills.Nothing was too much trouble for them and we both really appreciated the wonderful extras we received.The scrumptious breakfast cooked by Jane WOW so yummy.An extra special bonus also were the three beautiful Golden Retrievers they have. It certainly added an extra special part of our stay.The property the stunning views and the beautiful room it was an absolute pleasure to have stayed there.Thank you again Jane and Julian you are indeed the most gracious friendly and wonderful hosts and we will certainly be visiting and staying again at your beautiful property.

My partner and I booked into Abbotsford Country House for a last-minute, long weekend getaway and we were pleasantly surprised with the level of hospitality. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jane and Sarge (the family Golden Retriever) and immediately felt at-ease. Our room was very tastefully decorated, with a generous double-headed shower. Every morning Jane and Julian provided a hearty, restaurant-quality cooked breakfast and provided excellent recommendations for wineries in the area. Also, the view from the back of the property was a great place to watch the sunset across the Barossa (as pictured). Overall, our experience was personal and memorable. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful way to experience winter setting in here in South Australia. Breakfast on Sunday morning was just wonderful, with great company and a view to die for. We will be back!! (we have been back and it was even better).

Independent Hotel catering to all of your needs. Seriously good. Styled as a chic Country house, You won’t be disappointed. Switch off from the manic world we live in. Relax and enjoy the nature, wine, food & views that surround you.Food - Sensational, Breakfast was cooked fresh daily with the table laid before we had woken every morning. CHEF Jayne laid on the best alacarte spread, nothing too big or small. Black pudding! YES!! Yoghurt, Orange juice, Julian on the Fresh Coffee, Tea selection, Muesli, Fruit. Exactly what you need before a day at the wineries also what you need the day after... Sensational!Couple of tipsWineries - Charles Melton, David Franz, Two Hands all extremely niche wine & the best service.FoodBefore you get to Lyndoch, Stop off and get charcuterie & cheeses, We sat at Abbotsford all night enjoying wine & charcuterie as the sun set, Sensational.Once again Guys, Thankyou!!Chef x

We stayed at Abbotsford country house for 5 nights for a special birthday celebration. The suites were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with many options to choose from. Be sure to try the Haggis. Great location, close to a wide variety of restaurants and vineyards. Julian and Jane gave helpful tips on places to visit, and recommended a fantastic Winery (Moolanda Vineyard).Their hospitality was outstanding in all aspects.Thank you Julian and Jane for making our stay special.

We had a fabulous time exploring the Barossa and absolutely loved our time at Abbotsford Country House. Beautiful views, kind hospitality and cosy rooms. Julian and Jane made our stay very memorable.
