Had a great time camping. Stunning location. If you want an unpowered site you can camp anywhere. Staff are lovely. Bring your golf clubs and gold pan.Warning: No phone reception (which didn't bother us)Also Thousands of tiny field mice that are worse on warm nights. They climbed all over our tent and chewed one small whole. They didn't bother us too much but just a heads up so people know.

Had an absolute ball very quiet especially for new years celebration. My kids can't wait to go back. Great place to catch up. Plenty of camping space. Bathrooms were very tidy.

Great for water sports activity and scenic, but we had to leave mid night - it's infested with mice! They are everywhere and were crawling into our tents.

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend whilst visiting Dubbo Zoo (100-110km away) and absolutely loved the scenery and wide open spaces.Ammenities where basic but in well kept condition. BBQ's have not been used in a while by the looks of it but for self sufficient campers this won't be an issue. plenty of shelter and places for tent camping or car camping.**Roads are a little sub par in the lower camping grounds so smaller cars beware. although all cars would easily access all areas. You will enjoy the wildlife around at all times as well, but will never find this park cramped for space ! Camp Fires where allowed due no fire-ban in place (We used a fire pit) but recommend bringing some water with you as the dam level is currently at 6%** Only 4 star due to arrival at night (After hours) and unable to find the far campsite until a phone call to the friendly night shift manager. a little bit our part for not checking the park maps. but after finding the main area at the end of the road we thoroughly enjoyed our stay** (Would love a little extra signage).

This park is not for families looking for peace and quiet. A steady procession of 4WD's pulling big boats and the constant droning of boat engines make this place noisy and dangerous. The unpowered camping areas are centimeters away from the road and is not protected at all. Kids cannot run around safely and one can only pray that noone runs over a tent at night. For good measure, we had noisy party animals as neighbours who kept their loud music going all night. The lack of gender signs almost landed my wife in the boys bathroom.A little bit of thought could make this place very special but as it is, we were very disappointed.

It’s a nice and beautiful place. I camped in a weekend of April. Toilet is very clean and maintained every day. It was not a peak season so there was not too much visitors. It’s better to settle down before sunset, to avoid of getting lost, since the place is very big. Nice, clean and quiet, what a wonderful place.

This is a great little camping and caravaning spot about an hour outside of Orange. We picked up an unpowered site the day before Easter and had our choice of a number of different locations with great views. The downside (or upside, depending on your perspective) is there is no cell phone reception here. 3 days with no internet was a little daunting, but it brought the family together. The pools are very well maintained, but there is no communal kitchen. When we were there the dam was at 7% of capacity and you can see the potential waterline from the photo. Will definitely be back.

Been coming here since 1984 it's changed but also stayed the same. Good amenities, great for gold panning when there's water. Popular with skiers. Plenty of fish as well. There’s a kiosk on site. There’s a shop at the entry (Boomgates)Helpful staff.
