Drop my 1998 van over for a service after long road trip fix my car, the air con and for oil replacement .have a lovely and quick service I will be back for sure with my other car .

Good guys and hard workers. They took care of my leaks on roof and replace front door. Will recommend them to others for sure

Short version: Avoid this Vendor. An awful experienceOverpriced & Under deliveredLong Version:I found Renovan via an internet search and called the owner to arrange a meeting to have a platform made for the back of my VW Caddy. Based on the website and the location of the business I contacted them for a consultation.Upon arrival the owner Zac and I recognised each other as we had spoken once as we are part of a small community. It is on this basis that I trusted Zac with this project.I asked for a simple platform that could easily be removed from the van with a clearance of 125mm at the sides to accommodate fixtures. (piping to house equipment during transit)It took some months, though as I wanted the fit out to be done properly so I waited. When I came to collect the item. The platform was too large to fit out the door? The owner told me ‘that it has to be like this’ I said no it ‘could be narrower’. He ignored this and instead insisted that I pay him for his work there and then.I was shaking my head confused by the interaction and felt bullied and pressured to pay. Reluctantly I paid thinking 'dismantling the unit to remove it, whilst inconvenient, was not an insurmountable problem'It was at home when I tried to use the platform that I realised that the clearance on the side of the platform was not large enough to accomodate the fixtures and that the platform was unsuitable at its current form.I returned the next day, though Zac was unavailable for a week. I dismantled the platform and left it at the workshop indicating that it was unsuitable and needed to be narrowed.I eventually spoke to Zac who indicated that he would charge me to modify the platform.I was upset as he said that it was ‘made to my exact specifications’ which it was not.Eventually he conceded that he ‘pushed the issue’ and that it should really fit out the door in one piece.He offered to cut back the top lip by a few inches so that it could fit out. This only addressed one of several issues with the build. It would result in a mismatched top and base which I felt was unreasonable as I had paid $2000 for this build.I addressed the issue of the clearance at the side which he said he recalled me stating 125mm clearance and measured 140mm at the base of the car at the wheel arch. This does not account for the curvature of the van and the height of the platform and there was only 116mm to 122 mm clearance available. To which he responded ‘its only a couple of millimetres’I was upset and told him I was unhappy with his ‘band aid fix’ and would not accept it and that rebuild was required. He maintains that it would cost me more money.I took the platform and wished I had never paid him.Throughout my interactions with Zac I feel he was gaslighting me and bullying and as a result I was blunt in my last interaction with him.Afterwards I wrote to him expressing my dissatisfaction. I emailed and said that I would sleep on it though I indicated that I would be likely writing this review and possibly seek resolution through the fair trade office as he was not being accountable for his work.His response was a threat to contact my employer and the government body responsible for my industry to claim that I was blackmailing him. I responded stating the two are not related.After a few days a friend heard my plight and builds me a new frame in one hour with $35 of materials. There were fundamental issues with the original frame and it was easier to build it from scratch. Zac told me he used $130 worth of steel to make his frame. Though did not provide an itemised invoice. Also claims to have given. a discount though this is not indicated on the invoice eitherI spent two hours cutting back the platform and top lip to make the unit function.There are still issues with the poor quality of work with the carpeted top plate and lip though I have to deal with this until I can afford to replace this also.I would expect better consultation and communication on a customised build like his website suggests.

The smiling assassin. Promises the world and delivers absolute rubbish. If you want your vehicle back he will fabricate additional invoices and will not return your keys unless you comply. Incredible poor workmanship. Does what he wants not what you want. I know several people who are so scared of zac and will not post here for fear of his revenge. He will over charge your credit card - he is on the bank watchlist, Visa card watchlist, family support agency watchlist - you have been warned.

Zac and the Renovan team did an amazing job on my camper van fitting out additional things I needed in the interior (fridge, cabinet, table etc) as well as electrical work. Zac is an absolute legend and went above and beyond with his service. Very easy to deal with and professional throughout the process. He knows his stuff and his advice was much appreciated. I went to Zack after got lots of damage from February floods. He is has been professional , right on time and very easy to work with. The team did an amazing job on our trailer to be able to operate again and I couldn’t be happier.Thank you guys!
