As I write this review, Chololo has a rating of 3.9 which is harsh. The beef tacos are amazing and you have to get the broth so that you can dip them in it. Not much of an ambience but decent amount of seating and you can park in the mall. Staff are friendly. Great value for money.

Amazing tacos!This place deserves a better rating IMO.The beef tacos were so flavourful and cooked perfectly. The dipping sauces & soup were all delicious.The place itself isn’t anything special but it feels wholesome and authentic.Best tacos I’ve had in Sydney- definitely worth a visit.

Food here is so generous in sizing! The elotes in particular were so good! Under the cheese is corn that is marinated and so flavourful!They had quite a bit of takeaway orders and what seemed like locals considering how obscure the location is (only entrance that is open to the complex is in the back and located along a narrow dimly lit one way street). So it says something to how loved it is by locals!

I went there for the first and last time yesterday. I was super hungry ordered nachos . I was extremely disappointed with the taste of shredded chicken and thick layer of oil dripping cheese at the bottom. The whole meal tasted bitter and oily. Made me sick

Location abit strange, looks dirty, food abit too greasy and heavy for me. Ok to try but I wouldn’t personally come back. Menu needs improvement with possibly some pictures to make it easier to understand. Wait time was abit long. Ordered one of everything.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. If I could give zero stars that's what I would give this meal.VERY DISAPPOINTED. When you walk through the doors the place stinks, the tables and chairs were dirty, the floor was dirty, saw cockroachs on the floor. The kitchen area is very dirty, staff don't wear gloves when cooking.Got food poisoning from this place over the weekend. When ordering the worker was not friendly which is very un-welcoming. Very bad customer service from them. Workers are really unprofessional. My families order was given before my two meals were made. Had to wait a really long time for my food. Didn't enjoy my food at all. The place is dirty, you can see where they cook and everything is just everywhere. They microwaved some food so is the food really fresh or frozen then microwaved when bought? Absolutely disappointed, definitely over hyped on social media.It's very hard to find parking that's close to the store. Will be reporting this business. Been to other stores but stay away from the Fairfield shop.

The food was average, nothing that id return for. The birria tacos were okay but not as flavourful as other places I have tried. The quesadilla was all cold in the centre and not very appetising.

Chololo has been on my list of places to visit pretty much since it opened. I finally got the chance to give it a shot recently and I'd say it was an alright experience.Unfortunately, it is located in a dodgy looking centre in Fairfield so the vibe and environment isn't exactly great. But the food does make up for the sketchy feel, with pretty solid and interesting Mexican-inspired dishes. I do wonder how my experience would differ had I visited the Newtown store however.Dishes ordered:- Burris Tacos (Beef)- Elote

The birria tacos are alright a little too salty and greasy, it a once in a while meal. The pricing might be expensive but where else can you get birria tacos.The place is located in a sketchy area best to get in and get out.Not a place I sit and eat at especially in winter we're it be extremely cold and I guess in summer you have the flies.Parking hard to come by as well.

A small hidden hole in the wall style fusion joint that offers tacos with a twist.Not the easiest place to find as it was located in one of the dodgiest food courts I have been in.Aside from the fact that the food court tables, toilets and surrounding interior was dirty the food was of an acceptable standard.The tacos were nice and the combination with ramen was a unique and interesting option.The tacos while aesthetically appealing could have had the slightest bit of extra seasoning.The ramen was nice but rather bland as well but the portion sizes for both were relatively generous and made quite a filling meal when bought as the combo pack.Overall not outstanding or memorable but definitely unique in what they offer. A few minor tweaks may be exactly what they need to really shine.
