SJB

SJB's poor design has permanently damaged viewpoints and the skyline with not one, but two 37 storey blank concrete walls (one facing east and one facing the harbour). They use the excuse that these two giant walls will be built out, but that is simply not true for either wall. The developers used this firm to manipulate the public and council by only showing renders of the south and west sides of the building. Why did SJB allow themselves to be used like that? Why did they not offer any creative solutions to two giant blank walls? Short answer - they took an easy job (design a rectangle, take the money). But their reputation is permanently damaged just like the skyline. Poor outcome for everyone except the developers.

Having utilised SJB’s service over 15 years, never have I experienced such disrespectful professionalism as I have recently from Scott Barwick. His broken promises and lack of communication despite an important deadline was contemptuous!
